Job DescriptionAbout Founders Classical Academy Online Founders Classical Academy Online is dedicated to forming students who understand the intellectual, philosophical, and political foundations of Western civilization and the American republic. Through the study of history and political thought, students gain an appreciation for the ideas, institutions, and events that have shaped human civilization. Position Summary The History Teacher will guide students through the study of human history with particular emphasis on Western civilization and the American founding. Instruction emphasizes narrative history, primary sources, and thoughtful inquiry into the philosophical and political ideas that shaped societies. Students examine historical events, texts, and institutions in order to better understand the development of culture, government, and civic life. The teacher fosters historical understanding while encouraging thoughtful reflection on enduring questions about liberty, justice, and civic responsibility. Instruction should combine narrative teaching, document analysis, and discussion in order to cultivate historical literacy and critical thinking. Please note – while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for our Renewable Energy division - a close-knit, experienced team dedicated to delivery high quality projects through collaboration, communication, and constant improvement. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Develop and manage the customer relationship throughout the project lifecycle to ensure positive, • Assist in upfront planning and scheduling of projects, • Manage project activities from pre-construction through commercial operation, • Bring the Sales and Construction teams together and lead the closeout process, focusing on all critical aspects of the project and capturing lessons learned, project metrics, and considerations for the future, • Coordinate equipment selection and procurement with the Procurement team, • Manage and control the administration of the contract agreement with the customer and major supplier agreements to ensure adherence by the project team, • Serve as a Construction Subject Matter Expert (SME) to internal development teams, • Update the leadership team on factors such as project status, QC results, needs for safety, quality, schedule, risks, opportunities, financial factors, changes, people, and customer relationship, • Collaborate with the Safety team to continuously review and improve our safety program, • Proactively train staff to prevent quality defects and rework, • Physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The Project Manager will act as the liaison between Flintco, the owner representatives, major subcontractors, architects, and engineers, and provides valuable input based on his/her construction expertise to benefit the project. Responsible for providing management supervision to project personnel on assigned Utility-Scale PV build-out Solar Projects and ensuring that the projects are completed in compliance with Flintco 4 Life, within budget and on schedule. Responsible for overall management direction for all the functions required to successfully deliver project(s), including assuring sufficient resource allocation and client satisfaction. Supervises assigned subordinate Project Administrators, Office Engineers, Project Engineers, Assistant Superintendents, Superintendents, and Assistant Project Managers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Review preparation and culmination of project estimates and bids and collaborate with management in selecting and assigning project personnel., • Review the selection of subcontractors and completion of contract arrangements and review proposed materials and shop drawings from subcontractors and suppliers., • Review with project personnel the preliminary project schedule and when appropriate the detailed project schedule., • Ensure that all required project management/administrative pre-requisites (i.e., cash flow plan, subcontractor lists, manufacturer lists, submittal/procurement logs, etc.) are prepared and submitted to the architect and ensure these plans are properly administered, as in submittals expedited, received, logged, and approved., • Collaborate with the Project Superintendent in overseeing the delivery of materials to the job site or outside storage, and in ensuring that their receipt is properly recorded., • Monitor construction activities, resolve problems and issues which arise, especially those pertaining to changes, deficiencies and/or subcontractor performance. Review monthly project status reports, project billings, and provide information as required to keep upper management and client properly informed., • Ensure that "punch list" items are completed. Ensure that closeout documentation is submitted (i.e., drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranties from subcontractors and suppliers). Participate in and expedite fair settlement of final disputes, litigation, and final payment dispositions. Knowledge/Skills/Ability Knowledge and ability to prepare detailed construction project plans, schedules and estimates and to make proper modifications to such, using a personal computer and standard company software. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications. Ability to calculate square footage, volumes and percentages using a personal computer and calculator. Ability and skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, as in providing written and oral instructions to employees and in communicating with architects, clients, and subcontractors. Knowledge of and application skills in geometry, trigonometry, and algebra. Working knowledge of personal computers and basic software programs. Ability to manage project teams and large groups of personnel, and ability to accomplish desired results through delegation. Preferable software capabilities: • P6 • Procore, • BIM 360, • Newforma, • e-Builder, • Salesforce, • Procore Experience At least 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction management on Utility-Scale PV build-out Solar Projects, including estimating, project management, scheduling, cost control, and personnel administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. NABCEP PV Professional Certification preferred. NABCEP Certified or 8+ years of experience in C&I PV Knowledge of NEC and IBC PMP Certification a plus Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications Familiarity with wide variety of construction tools and technology Experience managing people, including subcontractors, and processes in a fast paced, results-driven company. Experience improving systems and processes to drive a scalable organization. Project management experience with budgeting, resource planning and management Experience leading and managing project teams. Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time. #on-site
