The Manager of Central Sterile Supply coordinates and monitors all sterile processing functions such as decontamination, preparation/packaging, sterilization of surgical instruments, ordering supplies, storage of materials, medical supplies usage and storage and inventory control. Responsible for first line supervision of all Central Sterile activities, staff scheduling, shift management and the coordination of surgical instruments and supplies to the operating rooms. Duties include: demonstrating skill in application of decontamination, preparation and sterilization technique. Utilizes recommended standards to identify areas of improvement in all phases of the process. Ability to perform every task in the decontamination, preparation and sterilization areas.
