    Key Responsibilities · Set up and break down our event booth, including tents, displays, signage, and product samples. · Ensure the booth is visually appealing, well-stocked, and organized throughout the event. · Manage inventory, handle cash and card transactions, and reconcile sales at the end of each event. Sales & Customer Engagement: · Actively engage with event attendees, approach potential customers, and spark conversations about pet care. · Educate pet owners on our product offerings, ingredients, and benefits with enthusiasm and deep product knowledge. · Drive sales by recommending the right products for each customer’s pet, handling objections, and closing transactions. Brand Ambassadorship: · Represent pawsome pets with professionalism, energy, and a genuine love for pets. · Share our brand story and mission with every interaction, building brand loyalty and awareness. · Collect customer feedback, observations, and insights to share with the team for future improvements. Qualifications & Skills: · Previous experience in retail, sales, event marketing, or customer service (pet industry experience is a plus). · Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills—you’re comfortable striking up conversations with strangers. · Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor, and sometimes physically demanding environment. · Reliable transportation to travel to various event locations. · Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (booth equipment, product boxes, etc.). Nice to Have: · Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling. · Knowledge of pet nutrition, pet care, or related products. · Availability on weekends and flexible hours (events often occur on Saturdays and Sundays).

This is a creative job. You will be working directly with the founder, getting your hands into everything, and helping build a brand from the ground up. Who We Are Looking For You are someone who thrives in creative environments around founders, artists, entrepreneurs and people who are building something that matters to them and understands why their stories matter. Someone who knows what makes content stop a scroll and has the design sensibility to make it look intentional. You are proactive, creative, and do not wait to be told what to do. You communicate clearly and consistently. You are curious and always learning. This role will put you in the room with some of the most interesting people right now- founders, artists, designers, entrepreneurs at every stage. Responsibilities • Manage and grow Her Story Lab's presence on Instagram, Threads, and YouTube, • Plan and execute a weekly content calendar aligned with our launch strategy, • Write captions and copy in the Her Story Lab tone of voice, • Repurpose film footage into social content- Reels, clips, quote cards, behind the scenes, • Assist on shoot days- helping set up, capturing behind the scenes content, and documenting the process, • Engage with our audience daily- responding to comments, starting conversations, building community, • Research and identify women founders, potential clients, and collaborators to connect with, • Track performance across platforms and share weekly insights on what is working, • Help plan and execute the Her Story Lab launch party (July - August 2026), • Support outreach efforts- drafting DMs, emails, and follow ups to potential clients and partners, • Bring fresh ideas to the table- you know what is trending and what will work for this brand What You Need 1. Strong understanding of Instagram, Threads, and YouTube. You are on these platforms every day, 2. An eye for visual storytelling. You can look at footage and know what will perform, 3. Excellent writing skills. You can write in someone else's voice and make it feel natural, 4. Based in NYC or able to come into the city 2 days a week., 5. Passion for women entrepreneurship, filmmaking, or creative businesses, 6. Highly organized and self-driven. You manage your own time and hit deadlines, 7. Bonus: experience with Adobe Suite, video editing (Premiere Pro, CapCut etc..)     About Sleekh Hair Care Sleekh Hair Care is a natural hair and body care brand founded in New Rochelle, NY. Our founder developed alopecia areata at nine years old, spent years trying steroid treatments, oral treatments, and topical treatments across nine different doctors with no results, and eventually formulated our products from scratch. What started as a personal solution became a brand. We sell Hair Growth Oil, Hair Butter, Body Butter, and seasonal Lip Balm collections at outdoor festivals and vendor events across New York City. We are a small brand with a real story, and we need someone who can tell that story at a table. What You Will Be Doing You will represent Sleekh Hair Care at Saturday and Sunday vendor events across the five boroughs. You are the face of the brand when we are not there. Your job is to set up the table, engage customers who walk by, pitch our products naturally and confidently, process transactions, and break everything down at the end of the day. • Set up and break down the full vendor table at each event, • Pitch Sleekh products to customers using our founder story and product training, • Process cash and card transactions using our POS system, • Log every sale digitally in real time through our staff app, • Collect customer emails for our marketing list, • Check in with the brand owner every two to three hours during the event, • Meet after each event to reconcile cash and return equipment What We Are Looking For • Someone who can talk to strangers naturally and close a sale without being pushy, • Prior sales, retail, or customer facing experience preferred, • Must have a reliable personal vehicle — you will transport product and equipment to events, • Ability to commit to Saturday or Sunday events consistently, • Honest, coachable, and detail oriented, • Comfortable handling cash and card transactions responsibly Compensation • $80 to $200+ per event day based on performance, • Pay includes hourly base plus commission on every sale you make, • The more you sell the more you earn — top performers consistently hit the higher end, • Clear tier structure with path to higher earnings as you prove yourself, • Paid via Zelle within two business days of each completed event, • Independent contractor position — 1099, • Bonuses available for high performers Training We provide full training before your first event.
