WE ARE HIRING RESIDENTIAL The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides assistance to participants who need help with daily living skills, and other activities such as, activity development and training in social interaction. This position assists participants with bathing, feeding, toileting, laundry, and other self-care responsibilities. The DSP is responsible for safely accompanying participants to community resources, medical appointments, and other approved activities. The position is responsible for completing progress notes and making appropriate entries into the daily log book. Administer medication, check MAR sheets and maintain participant medical records in compliance with OPWDD standards. Prepare case notes, read and make appropriate entries in facility logs daily. Review communication logs, Medication Administration Log and Medical Log at beginning of each shift. Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team in the development, implementation and evaluation of the residents’ Plan of Care. Accompany participants to Cardio Club and participate in activities and carry out fire drills, evacuations and emergency procedures. About the Position Brooklyn SolarWorks is seeking a motivated and self-starting individual to join our growing installer team. As a Solar installer, you will need to study all pertinent instructions, scope installation areas to determine their appropriateness, and then proceed to position devices. Responsibilities: - Maintain compliance with all OSHA safety rules and protocols for the company. - Packing out the equipment and materials out of the BSW trucks. - Assemble and install the support structure for solar PV panels according to building codes, manufacturing specification and standards, and waterproof them. - Drive to the associated job locations for each day’s appointment, as assigned by Crew lead/ Manager. - Build racking structures according to plan. - Measure, Cut and wire up solar arrays to BSW specs according to the 3-line diagram. - Communicate with the crew lead and rest of the team on the day's activities, progress and success. - Remain on site until the crew lead/ manager clears the team to leave. - Clean up job sites and lower materials from off the roof after job completion. - Carry out additional duties as required by Crew lead/ Manager. Work Schedule: Part-time, varied shifts/Sat/Sun SUMMARY: The Substance Abuse Counselor will conduct services within our OASAS licensed substance abuse 820 residential treatment program. The Counselor will meet with clients individually and in group settings as required. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Conducting groups for clients who are working towards and/or maintaining abstinence, which includes using evidence-based curriculum and focusing on topics such as anger management, parenting, co-occurring disorders, spirituality, men's and women's specific issues as well as general recovery topics. • Conduct detailed alcohol and drug assessments in order to determine immediate and long-term service needs for the development of a comprehensive treatment plan. • Conduct screenings, brief assessments, and intakes which include entering all screening assessment, and intake data into our Electronic Health Record (AWARDS) system with the accompanying progress notes. • Conduct individual sessions, as required, according to the client’s treatment plan and complete progress notes in accordance to charting requirements. • Work as part of a full treatment team which includes counselors, peers, nurse practitioners, medical doctors and clinical director in order to provide the highest quality of service to our clients. QUALIFICATIONS: • CASAC or CASAC-T (pending CASAC certifiation) with HSD/GED or comparable credentials such as MSW, MHC, LMSW, LMHC required. • A thorough understanding of the disease of addiction and the impact it can have on the lives of our clients. • Knowledge of motivational interviewing and the stages of change as well as person-centered practices. • Theoretical knowledge of a client’s psychological and physical needs and an understanding of group work practices and principles needed. • Experience with OASAS portal, HCS, and LOCADTR process • Ability to work with Culturally Diverse, LGBTQ, HIV and homeless population • Knowledge of OASAS 822 outpatient program a plus.
Description Work Schedule: Part-time Sat-Sun 8:30-4:30, suggested hours, but can be flexible. We are seeking a Social Worker who will work in our licensed 820 certified program providing services for withdrawal management including stabilization and rehabilitation. This is a twenty-bed, residential treatment program. The Social Worker will maintain a caseload of clients with mental health disorders and clients who request family counseling. RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer Mental Health assessment tools and enter data into the electronic case record ( AWARDS). Complete progress notes within the required time for every service rendered. Complete a service plan and make referrals to additional services as needed. Conduct group Counseling - and small process groups as needed to focus on mental health and substance use disorders, stress management, and communication skills. Experience with 2010E documentation and approval. Conduct family counseling sessions for clients and family members as requested Up to $3000 sign on bonus. Qualifications Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor with at least two years of work-related experience in counseling mental health and dually diagnosed clients. Must have experience with diverse adult populations, ability to perform therapy sessions in line with best practices and theoretical models. Must possess the ability to prepare client care forms accurately and in a timely manner. Must have good time management skills. The ability to work independently, schedule clients, and follow-up on clients' care as well as the ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team is needed.
