Job Summary The Fleet Manager at TelemetryX is responsible for leveraging telemetry data to deliver strategic insights that improve safety, efficiency, and asset utilization for customers in the material handling equipment (MHE) industry. This position plays a critical role in delivering quantifiable results including; cost savings, uptime improvements, or safety compliance by driving operational excellence across fleet programs. The Fleet Manager serves as a trusted advisor, staying ahead of industry trends and translating customer needs into actionable solutions. By coordinating closely with internal teams, PRC and clients, this role ensures seamless execution of fleet strategies and fosters long-term partnerships built on performance and trust.The selected candidate will begin working remotely and transition to a 100% on-site role once our Atlanta office location is established. Key Responsibilities • Execute TLXs 3PM offering which includes Fleet Management and Reporting, Performance Management and Safety while leveraging TLX hardware and software., • Collaborate with PRCs portfolio management, remarketing and opportunity management teams to support equipment returns, buyouts, renewals and new purchases., • Ensure Operational Excellence across the TLX service and product offerings., • Lead fleet program execution by aligning customer goals with data-driven strategies and operational best practices., • Communicate program vision, performance metrics, and improvement opportunities clearly across internal and external stakeholders., • Rapidly assess customer environments and deliver tailored recommendations that enhance fleet safety, productivity, and cost-effectiveness., • Develop and implement strategic plans for fleet optimization, balancing short-term priorities with long-term objectives., • Foster innovation and continuous improvement by staying informed on industry developments and emerging technologies., • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for fleet-related initiatives and performance reviews., • Oversee maintenance program performance by reviewing vendor compliance, cost efficiency, and service quality., • Collaborate with Fleet Coordinator to resolve maintenance invoice discrepancies and ensure alignment with client ROI goals., • Analyze maintenance spend trends and incorporate findings into fleet optimization strategies., • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to and escalate recurring issues to vendors or clients., • As needed collaborate with PRCs shared services teams., • Analyze safety-related telemetry data to identify risk behaviors and develop corrective action plans., • Collaborate with clients to implement safety improvement strategies, including operator retraining and compliance programs., • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and client-specific safety requirements., • Drive adoption of advanced safety technologies such as geofencing, alarms, and collision avoidance systems. Success Measurements • Drive measurable ROI for clients by reducing total cost of ownership, improving asset utilization, and minimizing downtime., • Develop and track KPIs such as cost-per-hour, safety incident reduction, and productivity gains to demonstrate program impact., • Leverage TelemetryX analytics to deliver quarterly ROI reports and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement., • Partner with clients to set performance benchmarks and achieve agreed-upon financial and operational targets., • Deliver on Client commitments: safety, utilization, maintenance, and compliance., • Deliver on customer ROI timelines (23 months)., • Evaluate safety KPIs and incorporate findings into quarterly ROI reports and client reviews. Requirements • Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred., • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in fleet operations, performance management, or related areas such as business development, strategy, or capital equipment management., • Language: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required to effectively communicate with diverse clients, vendors, and internal teams., • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with analytics tools, project management platforms, and CRM systems., • Analytical Ability: Strong capability to interpret data and develop actionable strategies for operational excellence and ROI improvement., • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex information clearly to internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing., • Project Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities, driving strategic initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams., • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of fleet management principles, safety standards (including OSHA compliance), and emerging technologies; experience in material handling or similar industries preferred., • Problem-Solving: Ability to assess client environments quickly and deliver tailored recommendations that enhance safety, productivity, and cost-effectiveness., • Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision., • Relationship Management: Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships and serving as a primary point of contact for program execution.
