American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Glendale, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 12/01/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in an acute care emergency department setting, • 15-bed ER with 6 chair waiting area, seeing 120-130 patients per day, • Certified Primary Stroke Center and designated for pediatric emergencies, • Patient ratios are based on acuity, • Shifts are 12 hours at night, with every other weekend required, • Travelers may be scheduled for day, midshift, or night shifts, • RN must be able to read monitor strips and scan all medications, • Unit uses Cerner and Meditech EMR systems, • Vents in use, lab draws performed by nurses, and no IV team available, • EMTs present but do not perform IVs; monitor tech doubles as unit secretary, • Security presence in the ER lobby 24/7, • Provide emergency care for adult and pediatric patients including stroke, STEMI, trauma, and pediatric emergencies, • Participation in floor-specific orientation for 2-3 shifts on unit, • Navy scrubs required as uniform, • Must work holidays as needed, • Travelers are required to scan all medications, • RN responsible for own lab draws and must be proficient with vents, • No floating required for this position, • Previous direct employment with associated health systems within last year is not allowed\n \n Requirements\n, • Current, active CA RN license (no pending licenses accepted), • Minimum of 3 years recent ER RN experience required, • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, COVID vaccine documentation, • Pass an online triage module if not previously completed, • Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms, • Two professional references: one from a supervisor within last 12 months, one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, • Copy of valid driver's license required for consideration, • Travel nursing experience preferred, • Ability to scan medications for medication administration\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
