This individual will regularly support classroom teams and their students, and fill in for associate teachers, and psychosocial teachers, when needed, to provide instruction and social-emotional support to students. Our classrooms typically consist of ten or fewer students. Teachers have the opportunity to receive mentorship, coaching, and support from the clinicians as well as academic administrators. Position Overview The Behavior Specialist is responsible for supporting the social-emotional, mental, and behavioral health of all students. Supervised by the Assistant Principal of Student Services, the Behavior Specialist provides day-to-day support and modeling for classroom teachers to implement tiered behavior interventions and develop and carry out Behavior Intervention Plans.. Behavior Specialists assist school administrators in the planning and execution of Professional Development that addresses school-wide social-emotional needs and are designed in response to campus behavior data trends.
