Position Overview We are looking for a Field Specialist who will own the on-site readiness of new Crunch Fitness clubs in the critical final weeks after opening. In this role, you will be the bridge between Construction and Operations—verifying that all building systems, owner-supplied equipment, and infrastructure are fully operational and member-ready for Day 1. You will spend most of your time in the field, working hands-on with GCs, subcontractors, vendors, and the NCO team to commission systems, troubleshoot issues in real time, and close any final gaps that could impact the opening experience. This person is a versatile multiskilled professional, capable of handling a broad range of maintenance, repair and installation tasks during and throughout the New Club Opening process. What You’ll Do: The Field Specialist is responsible for executing a flawless turnover of new Crunch Fitness clubs from Construction to Operations. This role ensures all building systems, owner-supplied equipment, and critical infrastructure are fully operational and ready for Day-1 member use. You serve as the on-site construction-to-operations specialist during the final three weeks of each project, working hands-on with the GC, subcontractors, owner vendors, and NCO team to complete commissioning, resolve issues, and prepare the club for a seamless opening. This position requires extensive travel, a high degree of independence, strong technical skills, and the ability to problem-solve in real time. What Success Looks Like: • Opening Day Readiness: All systems operational with minimal post-opening issues., • Timeliness of Turnover: All checklist items completed within project schedule., • Documentation Accuracy: Clear, complete, and timely turnover documents., • Operations Satisfaction Score: Positive feedback from NCO teams on readiness and support., • White Glove Turnover: Clubs are handed over in pristine, “grand-opening ready” condition, with systems, equipment, and details exceeding operations’ expectations., • High Level Problem-Solving: Issues in the field are anticipated or resolved quickly with minimal escalation, keeping openings on track without disrupting timelines or member experience About You: • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment., • A strong communicator who can confidently interact with internal leaders, external partners, and vendors in both written and verbal formats., • A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting others, solving problems, and improving processes to make work more efficient and predictable., • Tech-savvy and eager to use project management and collaboration tools to keep information clean, current, and accessible. Responsibilities: Systems Readiness & Commissioning • Lead system commissioning using defined checklists and documentation templates., • Identify deficiencies, troubleshoot issues directly, and perform hands-on fixes when possible., • Fill operational gaps to ensure a flawless turnover and member-ready experience.Collaboration & On-Site Leadership, • Work alongside the General Contractor, Owner Vendors, Subcontractors, and NCO team as the on-site readiness specialist., • Maintain constant communication with construction leadership on status, risks, and required actions., • Float between sites as needed to support multiple active projects.Training, Documentation & Handover, • Complete all checklists, sign-offs, and turnover documentation accurately and on time., • Train club staff and operations leaders on new systems, equipment use, and troubleshooting basics., • Provide clear, concise turnover materials to operations to support day-one and first-month success. Required Qualifications: • Background in construction, facility maintenance, or general building trades., • Ability to perform light finish work (e.g., paint, drywall touchups)., • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, Low voltage, A/V installation, • Comfortable with hands-on problem-solving and independent decision-making., • Ability to interpret construction drawings, equipment manuals, and MEP layouts., • Strong communication skills with GCs, trades, and operations teams., • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail. Preferred Experience • Experience opening or maintaining fitness centers, retail stores, hospitality, or similar facilities., • Understanding of low-voltage/IT systems (switches, routers, cabling, POS or access control)., • Procore proficiency; additional construction software experience preferred., • OSHA 10/30 or technical certifications (HVAC, low voltage, etc.) are a plus but not required. Travel: • 100% travel, typically on-site for the final three weeks of each project., • Travel costs covered; role includes a car allowance., • Work evenings or weekends as required by construction schedule and project deadlines.
