Job Description Job Description: Center Manager (Clinician – PT/OT) Job Summary The Center Manager (Clinician) is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of therapy centers while maintaining a full patient caseload. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational policies, drives financial performance, fosters referral relationships, and leads sales/marketing efforts. The Center Manager provides clinical care, supervises staff, and ensures the highest standards of service delivery. Essential Functions Management • Create a positive work environment aligned with the organization’s mission and vision, promoting team morale and retention., • Manage employee relations issues and ensure compliance with Human Resource policies and procedures., • Assist in fiscal budget preparation and management., • Develop and execute center-specific strategic plans, including marketing/sales initiatives for referral growth., • Foster strong physician and payer relationships while coordinating specialty program implementation., • Monitor financial performance, interpret performance metrics, and implement strategies for continuous improvement., • Supervise support staff, ensuring accountability for customer service and scheduling., • Oversee clinical team performance, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care and facilitating skill development., • Manage caseloads efficiently using available reporting tools., • Ensure appropriate productivity and staffing levels, leveraging productivity matrix tools., • Oversee orientation, onboarding, and staff training., • Collaborate in clinical staff hiring decisions and scheduling for optimal patient care., • Conduct staff performance reviews and support development planning., • Approve and manage staff scheduling, payroll, and time-off requests., • Ensure facility cleanliness, safety, and professional appearance., • Approve supply orders and manage costs effectively., • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations as well as internal policies and patient care standards., • Maintain up-to-date employee files including licensure, certifications, and required health records., • Lead staff meetings to communicate organizational updates, operational performance, and provide clinical education., • Execute quality assurance audits, develop action plans, and participate in quality improvement initiatives., • Maintain and review operational manuals annually for compliance., • Ensure staff participation in required training, emergency preparedness, and OSHA-mandated programs., • Adhere to all elements of the state Practice Act for Physical or Occupational Therapy., • Evaluate, treat, and delegate skilled interventions based on medical necessity., • Provide thorough, accurate, and timely documentation supporting functional goals and medical necessity., • Manage pre-certification and treatment extension documentation., • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and payers., • Maintain state licensure and complete required continuing education., • Serve as a role model and resource for peers and staff., • Maintain CPR certification and required licensure., • Assist with customer service responsibilities including patient registration and scheduling when necessary., • Ensure efficient use of time to meet productivity requirements., • Stay current on healthcare industry developments affecting therapy practices., • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills., • Effective communication skills, both oral and written., • Ability to make sound clinical and operational judgments in a timely manner., • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)., • Ability to lead, coach, and mentor staff effectively., • Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and collaboration., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and assist patients using proper body mechanics., • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods., • Visual acuity sufficient for accurate documentation and patient care., • Adequate hearing and speech abilities for effective communication., • Fine motor skills for accurate charting, reporting, and equipment handling., • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy program., • Current state licensure/registration as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist., • Current CPR certification in accordance with state requirements.Company DescriptionLanceSoft is rated as one of the largest staffing firms in the US by SIA.
