Job DescriptionDescription: Purpose: • Responsible for daily oversight of assigned support staff providers working in a 10 bed emergency shelter for youth residing in a 24-hour waiver respite, crisis stabilization, and police protective custody placement services to youth ages 3 to 17. Monitoring additional daily operations of Robert’s Place emergency services. This includes staffing client assignments, assigning staff to meet client needs, participating in treatment team reviews, and onsite monitoring of staff. providing professional case management services, as well as a trauma-informed oriented environment and adhering to all licensure requirements. This position reports directly to the Supervisor of the Emergency Shelter at PACES. Accountabilities: • Provide daily oversight to ensure that the supervisory needs of the staff are met., • Provide modeling, redirection and guidance to staff working directly with children., • Provide education, consultation and supportive counseling to children to help minimize psychiatric symptoms or symptoms of emotional disturbances, as needed., • Provide direct support to clients, as needed., • Assist with therapeutic groups and activities, as needed., • Assist in organizing the current filing system for all clients, maintains client files and completes file checklist on discharged clients., • Assist with monthly team meetings and training., • Supervise and coordinate housekeeping tasks and housekeeping task checklists, and household and vehicle maintenance items., • Coordinate daily menus, food supplies, orders, and donations from community partners., • Monthly organization and inventory of toys/books/activities/crafts/ect. with staff., • Assist in ensuring timely scheduling of client referrals and coordination of appointment visit, maintaining the referral calendar assignment., • Assist in reviewing and maintaining program compliance with rules and regulations., • Assist with coordination of care with clients’ therapist, case managers, Wrap-Around-Facilitator, community partners etc., • Ensure support service staff members are adequately briefed regarding client assignments., • Coordinates and assists the Supervisor with hiring, scheduling, and training staff to manage the needs of the program., • Other duties as assigned.Requirements: Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a human services field, with an emphasis preferably in social work, psychology, rehabilitation, or a related field., • Familiarity with mental health theory, emerging promising practices, and evidence-based practices., • 2 years of prior work experience providing effective, efficient case management and/or direct support to youth, preferred., • Knowledge of trends, issues, laws, and regulations related to the development and delivery of case management services., • Ability to establish relationships with influential individuals and organizations within the social services community, including civic groups, charitable agencies, related government entities, and fundraising sources., • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities under changing circumstances and timeframes., • Valid driver's license and liability insurance., • Ability to effectively use all devices, equipment, and computer systems required for this position., • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal., • Ability to establish effective working relationships with children, parents, staff, and community agencies., • Ability to recognize and be sensitive to cultural and ethnic differences., • Must be able to safely perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation., • Clearance through the Kansas Child Abuse & Neglect Registry, Adult Abuse Registry, criminal background check, Motor Vehicle Dept. check, and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursable inquiry., • Work Schedule - Wednesday – Sunday 2:30pm-11pm
