This role focuses on assessing the adequacy, completeness, and sustainability of remediation action plans and evaluating evidence to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations, internal standards, and information security frameworks.This position operates within an oversight and challenge function, partnering with technology teams, operational risk management, audit, and compliance stakeholders to promote strong control hygiene and timely risk reduction.Key Responsibilities:, • Conduct quality assurance reviews and challenge remediation action plans for internal audit and regulatory findings related to information security and technology controls., • Assess whether action plans address root cause, risk drivers, and control design gaps., • Evaluate remediation evidence for accuracy, completeness, and sustainability., • Apply established QA rubrics, control standards, and review methodologies consistently., • Identify gaps, weaknesses, or misalignment with policy, standards, and regulatory expectations., • Document review results, conclusions, and rationale clearly and defensibly., • Evaluate information security controls across access management, change management, vulnerability management, data protection, logging and monitoring, and third-party risk., • Assess residual risk and escalate concerns when remediation effectiveness is insufficient., • Maintain accurate records of review activities, decisions, and supporting evidence., • Support management reporting and metrics related to remediation quality and status., • Engage with technology owners to clarify remediation approaches and evidence., • Provide constructive challenge and guidance while maintaining independence., • Collaborate with audit, operational risk management, and compliance partners for alignment and consistency., • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Agile/Lean practices and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, ML, Power BI/Apps, Python)., • Identify emerging trends and provide business management advice to senior leadership., • Stay current on industry best practices and the information security audit and regulatory environment.Required Experience:, • 5+ years of relevant experience in information security, technology risk, audit, and regulatory remediation processes., • Experience supporting 1B, 2LOD, or QA/challenge functions., • Experience reviewing control design, implementation, and operating effectiveness., • Experience reviewing remediation evidence and validating control effectiveness., • University degree or relevant field / equivalent experience.Nice-to-Have Experience:, • Experience with Executive-level stakeholder engagement., • Exposure to GRC tools such as Archer or ServiceNow., • Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or Extreme Programming.Required Skills:, • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels., • Strong documentation and write-up capabilities., • Jira and MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, SharePoint, Confluence)., • Audit background and knowledge of IT governance and control methodologies.Preferred Skills:, • Knowledge of information security control frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, COBIT 5)., • Experience with data analytics and technology risk reporting (KPIs/KRIs)., • Experience with change management methods for evolving issue management frameworks., • Certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISA, CISSP (asset).Additional Skills:, • Attention to detail., • Ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously., • Strong organizational skills., • Ability to educate colleagues and participate in complex technology projects., • Must not have exclusively non-tech/GRC/audit background., • Contractor will not have access to customer data., • 10–15 hours per week spent in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.Benefits:, • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans #LI-GTT #LI-Hybrid #gttjobsCompany DescriptionGlobal Technical Talent is a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation () with over 1.3 billion US$ in revenue and 5800 US employees.
