Position Description This position is responsible for operating a company truck and driving to various locations to service and deliver and/or pick up portable restrooms, hand sinks, or sanitizer units. Repair broken portable toilets. This would consist of delivering and picking up units daily and maintaining units already on site and in yard, clean units, discard any trash, restock with paper, refill tanks with liquid deodorizer, and spray air deodorant. technicians are exposed to extreme weather conditions, unpleasant odors, and sights. The hours and physical demands may vary by route or area. our Current position is needed for a Ford F600 tank truck with a need for a Chauffeurs drivers license but a class B would be preferred as the rest of our fleet consists of larger trucks Overtime is given, and the individual must be able to work most weekends during the summertime. If you want to fill out an application, please come to our office at 5475 S State rd Ann Arbor, MI 48108 Responsibilities and Duties • Operates truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies., • Provides services to customers’ portable restroom unit on assigned route(s) by pumping, washing, and restocking units., • Provides minor repairs to units on route and at facility., • Delivers and removes portable restroom units to/from customers., • Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch., • Maintains and updates route sheets as needed., • Maintains and updates drivers log sheets., • Professional interaction with internal and external customers., • Perform customer service interaction when on customer work sites to ensure they are getting the services completed to their standard., • Repairs, cleans, and prepares portable restroom units for delivery, as needed., • Maintains a clean truck., • Performs other duties as assigned., • Perform all task assigned by Route Manager, including but not limited to delivery and pick up of rental equipment, restocking trucks, etc., • Ability to read and understand a map / gps., • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing)., • General knowledge of mechanics of trucks., • Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays., • Ability to work in all weather conditions., • Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers., • Ability to pull a trailer preferred., • Waste industry experience, a plus., • Customer Service, • Teamwork, • Organization, • Communications, • Exposure to extreme weather conditions., • Exposure to human waste possible., • Exposure to an environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday., • Possible exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle., • This position is outdoors and/or driving GPS monitored vehicle, • Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 250 lb. and pushing or pulling up to 250 pounds, • Legally eligible to work in the United States., • Must be at least 18 years of age., • HS Diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience., • Experience: 1-year previous commercial driving experience preferred, • Clean Driving Record, • Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years., • No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
