Job DescriptionSalary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support supply chain operations across our five warehouse locations in:two facilities in Dallas, TX;Marietta, GA; Dulles, VA; andCedar Rapids, IA. This hands-on role combines multi-site warehouse coordination with transportation and fleet operations support, ensuring efficient, cost-effective movement of specialized data center construction materials including raised access flooring, structural ceiling grid systems, hot/cold aisle containment, and security mesh wire walls. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of freight coordination and warehouseand inventorymanagement systems, with eagerness to grow theirexpertiseinlogisticsandinventorymanagement while supporting our project sites nationwide. Multi-Site Warehouse Operations Management • Oversee daily operations, performance metrics, standardized procedures, and OSHA/DOT compliance across all five warehouse locations while leading, training, and developing warehouse managers, specialists, and project team leaders, • Manage WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), inventory tracking platforms, and technology solutions while implementing layout optimization strategies to maximize spaceutilization, material flow, and operational efficiency, • Coordinate inter-warehouse transfers and material movementsfrom suppliersto meet project demands across all locations Inventory Management & Control • Maintain real-time inventory accuracy of 98% or higher through comprehensive cycle counting programs, ABC classification systems, and root cause analysis of discrepancies across all locations, • Monitor stock levels, reorder points, safety stock, and min/max thresholds while managing inventory rotations and FIFO to meet project needs and minimize safety stockbyleveragingnational supplier footprints, • Track inventory metrics (turns, accuracy, aging, shrinkage, dead stock) and collaborate withLogistics Procurement Managerand project teams to align inventory with project schedules and requirements 5S Warehouse Management Systems • Lead implementation and sustainment of 5Smethodology(Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) including visual controls, shadow boards, floor markings, signage, color-coding, and kanban systems across all warehouses, • Conduct regular 5S audits,gembawalks, and kaizen events while creating SOPs with visual work instructions to enhance organization, safety, and warehouse efficiency, • Train and engage warehouse teams in lean principles while tracking 5S compliance metrics and empowering teams toidentifyimprovement opportunities Transportation & Fleet Management • Oversee fleet maintenance, vehicle inspections, DOT compliance, and implement fleet tracking systems and telematics to ensure visibility andoptimaluse of company vehicles, box trucks, and specialty equipment Freight Brokering & Cost Optimization • Negotiate competitive rates with LTL and FTL carriers while strategically brokering shipments and selectingoptimalload types (LTL, FTL, partial truckload,expedited, specialized) based on project requirements and cost-effectiveness, • Evaluate and manage relationships with freight brokers, 3PLs, and carriers whilemonitoringmarket trends, processing freight documentation (BOLs, freight bills, invoices), and implementing freight audit processes for cost recovery Supply Chain Coordination & Planning • Collaborate with Logistics Procurement Manager and project managers to forecast material requirements, coordinate receiving and delivery schedules,optimizewarehouse capacity, and manage reverselogisticsand material reallocation, • Create andmaintaintransportation andlogisticsbudgets while tracking expenses against targets and generating comprehensive performance reports for management review Leadership & Continuous Improvement • Build andadvisea high-performinglogisticsminded projectteamsacross multiple locations while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence, • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analysis, industry best practices, and technology solutions while partnering with cross-functional teams to alignlogisticsoperations with company growth and strategic objectives. Required Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or related field preferred, • 3-5 years oflogisticsexperience withdemonstratedknowledge in both warehouse operations and transportation coordination, • Working knowledge of LTL and FTL freight operations, trucking lanes, and transportation modes, • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)or Inventory Management Systems (IMS), • Understanding of inventory management principles including cycle counting, ABC classification, and FIFO methods, • Experience with or willingness to learn 5Smethodologyand lean warehouse management practices, • Basic understanding of OSHA safety standardsandDOT regulations, • Valid driver's license with clean driving record, • Abilityto travel to warehouse locations and project sites(10%), • Strong organizational skills with ability to interpret data and prioritize multiple tasks, • Good communicationand interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team, • Ability to analyze transportation costs andidentifycost-reduction opportunities, • Familiarity with inventory management practices including cycle counting, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliation, • Experience with or aptitude to learn 5S implementation and visual management systems, • Basic knowledge of warehouse slotting and material flow, • Experience with barcode scanning systems and inventory management platforms preferred, • Understanding ofmaterial handling equipment operations (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.), • Self-motivated with strong work ethic and willingness to learn, • Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy in documentation and inventory management, • Problem-solving mindset with ability to make sound decisions under pressure, • Good negotiation and relationship-building skills, • Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced, dynamic environments, • Hands-on approach with willingness to work directly in warehouse operations when needed, • Customer-focused mindset with commitment to supporting project success, • Ability to work in warehouse and construction environments, including standing for extended periods, • Comfortable working in areas that may require personal protective equipment (PPE), • Ability tolift upto 50lbs.when necessary, • Ability to travel extensively to multiple warehouse locations and project sites, • Flexibility to respond to urgentlogisticsissues outside standard business hours, • Capability to work in varying climate conditions (extreme heat, cold, humidity) Compensation & Benefits: Competitive pay commensurate with experience, a comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits package, ongoing professional development opportunities, paid time off and company holidays, and mileage reimbursement for business travel and site visits.
