Organizational Overview The King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA) is a public administrative agency created by an interlocal agreement between the City of Seattle and King County. KCRHA is responsible for unifying, coordinating, and administering the funding of emergency services for people experiencing homelessness to provide oversight and accountability. Our mission is to administer effective, performance-based homeless services to support a high-functioning homelessness crisis response system to significantly decrease the incidence of unsheltered homelessness across King County using equity and social justice principles. Crisis response includes services that support those who are not yet in permanent housing such as: Emergency shelter, Transitional Housing, Tiny Home Villages, Rapid Re-Housing, Day Centers, and Severe Weather shelter. Team Overview The Research and Data Division supports the design and evolution of technical infrastructure, analytic capabilities, and collaborative and open-source workflows across the organization. This includes directly supporting analysts, engineers, program teams, and leadership to make our systems more transparent, efficient, and effective, always with an eye on our core mission: unify homelessness services and systems to reduce homelessness and bring more people inside. Data and infrastructure are not just technical challenges, rather they are the foundation of how we allocate resources, measure progress, and design just systems. The Research and Data Division exists to empower the people doing the work of KCRHA and brings clarity, insight, and possibility to one of the regions most urgent challenges: Homelessness. The team is a unique blend of deep technical expertise, strategic vision, collaborative leadership, and a hands-on, mission-driven approach. Role Description The Community Data and Evaluation Coordinator supports the Research and Data Division in implementing a community-informed evaluation and analytics program. This role focuses on developing and managing analytic products such as dashboards and By-Name Lists (BNLs) to inform decisions, track outcomes, and promote transparency. The position blends technical data analysis, project coordination, and community partnership to help drive equitable, data-informed homelessness solutions. Accountabilities Community Partnership & Analytics Delivery • Engage internal and external partners to co-design evaluation and visualization products aligned with shared priorities., • Develop and manage dashboards and reports that track outcomes and performance metrics, including BNLs., • Facilitate meetings, gather feedback, and translate community input into actionable analytic insights., • Apply racial, gender, and economic equity frameworks to all evaluation and communication activities., • Support implementation of the Research and Data Divisions workplan and cross-team communication., • Collaborate with engineers and data scientists on data integration, validation, and visualization projects., • Maintain documentation and ensure reproducibility for analytic products., • Uphold confidentiality and data privacy in alignment with legal and ethical standards., • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal workflows, products, and data infrastructure. Minimum Requirements • Fluency in equity and racial justice concepts and language, understanding their privilege and power, and can bring equity impact analysis to life in the context of their tasks., • 3+ years of experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research, monitoring, or evaluation., • Advanced skills in SQL, R, or Python for data analysis and visualization., • Proficiency with at least one business intelligence or dashboard tool (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Apache Superset)., • Familiarity with data systems related to homelessness, housing, or social services., • Experience collaborating with diverse communities and managing partnerships across sectors., • Demonstrated ability to apply racial, gender, and economic equity frameworks in program evaluation., • Understanding of homelessness response systems and related socio-economic issues., • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills., • High attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness., • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively., • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Additional Requirements • Experience with government and community stakeholders in King County, • Valid Washington State Driver's License, • Ability to travel up to 10%, in state and out-of-state, • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, timeliness, • Ability to provide and accept feedback, • Ability to work in and across several communication platforms, including social networks and cloud-based systems, • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Benefits The KCRHA offers a comprehensive benets package.
