About the Opportunity: The Medical/Healthcare Planner is a mid-senior level role that's a strategic, high-visibility position. Our ideal candidate will be ready to take ownership of meaningful healthcare design work. From day one, you’ll lead planning efforts on robust, mid-to-large-scale projects while working closely with leadership, clinicians, and cross-functional teams. You’ll step into a design-forward environment where innovation, technical excellence, and growth aren't just encouraged but expected and achievable. • Medical/Healthcare Planner (Mid-Senior level), • Los Angeles, CA | Full-Time, • Flexible Hybrid Schedule Key Highlights • Fast-tracked career growth with clear leadership pathways, • Full autonomy to lead planning efforts on complex healthcare projects, • Direct collaboration with Practice Leaders, Principals, and Medical Planning teams, • High-impact, client-facing role with influence across strategy, design, and execution, • Partner with architects, clinicians, and stakeholders to create healing, efficient, future-ready spaces, • Lead the development of functional programs, spatial layouts, and early design concepts, • Ensure alignment with client goals, clinical workflows, and regulatory standards Qualifications | Required Experience • 7–10+ years of architectural experience, ideally with a reputable national A/E or architecture firm, • Minimum 7 years of focused experience in healthcare and medical design, with an emphasis on mid- to large-scale medical and hospital projects, • Expertise across all project phases, including healthcare planning, design development, documentation, construction administration, and deliverables, • Strong knowledge of healthcare codes and compliance, including OSHPD / HCAI, • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other industry-standard design tools and software Licenses + Certifications | (Preferred, Not Required) • LEED AP Certification, • Master of Architecture (M.Arch), • California Licensed Architect / NCARB Certification What You’ll Do | The Duties • Partner with architects, healthcare professionals, and user groups to program and plan medical facilities that enhance care delivery, • Lead the development of spatial strategies, functional programs, and early design concepts aligned with client goals, • Engage directly with clinicians, administrators, and departmental teams to understand space needs and gain consensus, • Translate complex clinical workflows into efficient, flexible, and human-centered design solutions, • Ensure planning concepts align with regulatory guidelines, best practices, and evidence-based design principles, • Conduct research on space utilization and healthcare trends to inform design decisions and support future adaptability, • Collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, and technical teams from concept through completion, • Serve as a key client liaison and represent leadership in fostering strong, ongoing relationships, • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal support and client presentations, • Mentor junior team members and support studio-wide knowledge sharing on healthcare planning methodologies, • Participate in developing and advancing practice-wide goals, tools, and planning standards What We Offer | Comprehensive Compensation & Full Benefits Package • Salary Range: $120,000 – $175,000/year (DOE), • Mid-Level: $120,000 – $145,000/year, • Senior-Level: $145,000 – $175,000/year, • Bonus Structure: Performance- and profitability-based incentives, • Full Benefits Package: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, • Retirement Plan: 401(k) with company match, • Generous Paid Time Off: Vacation, personal/sick leave, and paid holidays, • Flexible Work Schedule: Supportive of work-life balance, • Additional Perks & Incentives: Firmwide events, wellness programs, and more Apply Today: Apply directly to this posting with your updated resume + portfolio, and email to for prompt review and confidential consideration.
