JOB POSTING Job Title: Housekeeping Job Location: University Consultation Center 1020 Grand Concourse Professional South Wing Suite 26 Bronx, NY 10451 Department: Operations Job Description: Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Performs routine tasks and activities in connection with ensuring that scattered site apartments units are properly maintained, safe and sanitary at all times. Cleans and disinfects all apartments prior to new occupancy, On call on a 24 hr. basis for emergencies. Insures apartments are free of violations and not in need of repair. Protect client confidentiality according to agency policy. May replace light bulbs and fuses throughout apartments, as necessary. Performs minor repairs in apartments such plastering, changing locks on doors and other general repairs. Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment. Establishes and maintains a preventive maintenance schedule of each apartments as well as weekly to monthly inspections. Ability to react calmly when dealing with clients, good knowledge of housekeeping practices and principles, adhere to agency and program policies and procedures. Education and/or Experience: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. 2 Years experience in maintenance/housekeeping areas.
