Job Description Job Title: HVAC Service Technician Job Description The Commercial Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts. Service technicians work on a range of equipment, from window air conditioning units to chillers, boilers, and rooftop units. Responsibilities • Perform maintenance and repair on various HVAC systems., • Utilize refrigeration theory to troubleshoot and resolve issues., • Interpret and work with electrical schematics and control systems., • Conduct pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layout tasks., • Service equipment including chillers, boilers, and rooftop units., • Experience in HVAC service, either commercial or residential., • Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills., • Commercial experience is a plus but not mandatory., • EPA certifications (I, II, universal) are advantageous. Work Environment Technicians will work throughout Central New York, from Rochester to Utica, servicing commercial HVAC units in various settings such as hospitals, industrial sites, and office buildings. The role involves working on rooftop AC units, among other equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Syracuse, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
