Job Description Director of Quality Assurance Bethlehem / Allentown corridor MUST HAVE QA Food Processing background in setting the companies food procession QA Programs and leading a staff. SQF III experience Welcome to what could be your last job ! The Dir of QA role is a true search, and the job is located in a beautiful city area in the Bethlehem / Allentown, PA corridor. This is possibly commutable from as far west as Reading, north to Jim Thorpe, East to Clinton, NJ or south as far as Norristown, and obviously anything in the Bethlehem / Allentown Corridor of Pennsylvania. This low cost of living area is ideal for families and plenty of things to do when you are not at work. WE WILL DISCUSS THE ACTUAL LOCATION WITH QUALIFIED QUALITY MANAGER CANDIDATES. The position is open due to a change and there is a consultant in the role now on a temporary basis. we are not looking to relocate someone at this time or that would be your responsibility- Currently, there are others to also assist in Audit, HACCP and related record keeping. You will also be hiring staff as you grow the department. We desire to hire a professional in the QA Field with a food processing background, people development, metrics, SQF and strategy background. The food plant is not overly large, however, one site is larger than the other less than 5 miles away - much like a commissary might be or for specialty food or custom processing you will have a staff of around 5-10 techs. To reward you additionally and to attract a top person, there is a 6% bonus potential that you can discuss with the COO the base salary range is wide from $110k to $135 which is excellent to get a solid commitment-oriented person for the long term, 4 weeks' vacation and decent healthcare to get the upper salary range - experience is needed (with results) and a reasonably clean background, - not a job hopper. Your staff will grow quite a bit in the next few years based on current plans of the company. They are introducing new products regularly, so you need to be flexible to improving product lines / new products. In your new role, as QA Execution Manager, you will lead QA and Food Safety in the site and coordinated CI (continuous improvement) and food quality Safety, working with people, process and improving procedures and improved specs. This position supports outside Audit, (3 per year)- the Production Plant, Procurement, Marketing, Sales, Research and Development and Corporate and Food Safety. creating a collaborative atmosphere of cooperation in quality and food safety assuring the manufacturing and processing of quality, food safe and compliant products. What will I do day to day? • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Quality Department, • Ensures the implementation and execution of quality and food safety programs and procedures to lead and support production of safe, quality and compliant products., • Assume and lead the HACCP Team coordinator, SQF III, FSMA regs., • Host all customer, regulatory and third-party quality and food safety audits and corrective action process., • Investigate, review and respond to consumer and customer complaints., • Lead all investigations, timely disposition and the execution of a strong corrective and preventative actions., • Serve as the lead for validation of all changes in manufacturing process, • Support new product and process trials and new product launches, collaborating with corporate R&D., • Executive plant Leadership Team Continuous Improvement: • Analyzes key performance metrics and leads the plant in the establishment of a quality improvement plan, • Continuously reviews core competencies and department processes for cycles of improvement., • Ensures the creation and implementation of a robust corrective/preventative action program utilizing customer/consumer complaint data, audit findings, • Coach, develops and mentors team members to achieve personal growth and success, • Manages performance expectations including daily accountabilities, annual goals and annual performance reviews., • Accountable for supporting annual budget process and complying with final approved budget expectations.
