As we continue to grow, were looking for a consistent, organized, hard-working, and self-motivated Lead Finisher who will lead the finishing aspects of projects, as well as lead finish-based projects. Position Overview: The Lead Finisher will be responsible for supervising the team of finishers while maintaining a high level of organization, quality control, and efficiency in the finishing. The Lead Finisher will display exemplary leadership and use their skill sets to problem solve and ensure that tasks are completed in accordance with established company policies and procedures. Position Responsibilities include: • Lead, direct, and assign daily tasks to team members and ensure they are completed on time and to the required standards., • Oversee the preparation of materials and surfaces (metal, wood, plastic, etc.) for finishing., • Apply paints, stains, protective coatings, and other finishes using brushes, sprayers, or other equipment., • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company standards, specifications, and client requirements., • Identify areas of concern, resolve issues, and document any rework or additional required actions., • Maintain an organized and clean work environment, finishing tools, equipment, and supplies., • Consult on ordering of materials and supplies as needed to support production schedules., • Communicate any finishing-related issues and ensure smooth production workflows., • Participate in pre-production meetings to discuss project requirements, timelines, and material specifications., • Provide hands-on training to the team, developing their technical skills in finishing and scenic techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage., • Stay up-to-date with the latest finishing technologies, tools, and materials, implementing best practices to improve efficiency and product quality., • Ensure team adherence to safety guidelines and company policies. Position Requirements: • Experience with a wide range of finishing products, tools, and equipment, including spray systems, sanding machines, and polishing tools., • Strong knowledge of various advanced finishing techniques (sanding, fairing, priming, painting, coating, polishing, etc.) for a variety of materials (metal, wood, composites, etc.)., • Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and management., • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, ratios, and directions., • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality results., • Highly organized in time management and task delegation., • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities., • Professional and reliable conduct, contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.
