Job DescriptionJob Title: Office / Accounting Manager Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee administrative, accounting, and some basic human resources operations at our firm. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day office functions, accounting, payroll, and some HR compliance, ensuring smooth operations across departments. Responsibilities • Oversee general office operations including supplies, vendor relations, and facility coordination., • Serve as the primary point of contact and support for the survey team., • Maintain organizational records and other documentation., • Coordinate internal meetings, team events, and administrative support., • Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting., • Handle billing and vendor invoices., • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes., • Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls., • Prepare financial statements and assist with budgeting and forecasting., • Support external audits and liaise with accounting firms as needed., • Administer payroll, benefits, PTO tracking, and employee records., • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws., • Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes., • Act as a liaison between employees and leadership for HR-related matters.Essential Skills, • Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant experience., • Understanding of accounting principles - general ledger, debits and credits, billing, vendor invoices., • 3–5+ years of experience in a similar multi-functional role., • Proficiency in accounting systems, Excel, and HRIS systems., • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills., • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • General understanding of payroll and accounting principles.Work Environment This position is based in Murfreesboro, TN, within an office setting where you will collaborate with various departments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
