Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, and we are in search of a Senior Data Engineer to join our IT team. The Data Governance & Master Data Management Lead will play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and maintaining Trystar’s enterprise data governance framework. This role requires a technical expert with a passion for data quality, stewardship, and compliance, who can drive company-wide initiatives to ensure the reliability, security, and value of our information assets. In addition to overarching data governance, the Data Governance Lead will be responsible for developing and executing a robust Master Data Management (MDM) strategy. This includes establishing consistent standards for master data across the organization, overseeing the creation and maintenance of master data domains such as customer, product, supplier, and location information, and ensuring synchronization and accuracy throughout all key systems. The Lead will collaborate with stakeholders to identify master data sources, resolve data conflicts, and enforce data validation and enrichment processes. They will champion continuous improvement initiatives related to master data quality, facilitate master data stewardship, and support integration efforts between core business systems to maximize data consistency and reliability. In this role you will get to:, • Design, develop, and maintain data governance policies and procedures that ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the organization, • Lead the implementation of data governance tools, data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage mapping, • Establish and monitor data stewardship practices, working with business and IT stakeholders to define data ownership, accountability, and standards, • Develop and deliver training programs to promote a data-driven culture, raising awareness around best practices, compliance, and regulatory requirements, • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy laws, regulations, and standards (such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.), • Develop and execute a comprehensive Master Data Management strategy that establishes consistent standards for master data across the organization., • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and synchronization of master data domains, such as customer, product, supplier, and location information, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout all key systems., • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify authoritative master data sources, resolve conflicts, and implement robust data validation, enrichment, and stewardship processes., • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives targeting master data quality and support integration efforts between core business systems to maximize reliability and operational efficiency., • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field, • 5+ years’ experience in data governance, data engineering, or related roles, • Expertise in data governance frameworks, data cataloging, metadata management, master data management and related technologies, • Strong understanding of data privacy, regulatory compliance, and risk management, • Demonstrated experience collaborating with IT, business, and executive teams, • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS • Familiarity with digital manufacturing and related systems like ERP, CRM, QMS etc., • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement minor system enhancements., • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, business-friendly language., • Passion for learning and optimizing technologies and user experiences., • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively., • Strong interpersonal skills and highly resourceful in both team environments and building business relationships., • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving., • Willingness and ability to travel 20%.
