Job Description: The Director of Data will lead the firm’s enterprise data strategy—overseeing Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), Salesforce Analytics, the enterprise data warehouse, and all integrations that power our retirement planning ecosystem. This role ensures that data from custodians (Pershing/BNY, and future multi-custodial partners), Black Diamond, and other platforms is unified, accurate, and actionable. The Director of Data partners across the Operations, Compliance, Finance, Marketing and Advisory Services departments to transform data into a strategic asset—driving better decisions, stronger workflows, and scalable growth. Job Responsibilities: • Data Strategy & Governance, • Develop and execute the enterprise data strategy supporting a multi-custodial, multi-platform environment., • Define and enforce data governance, quality, and lineage standards across Salesforce, the data warehouse, and BI systems., • Establish and maintain a data stewardship framework with ownership and accountability for key data domains (client, account, advisor, operations)., • Salesforce Financial Services Cloud Leadership, • Serve as the data owner for Salesforce FSC, optimizing its data model and integrations with custodial and portfolio systems., • Oversee Salesforce Analytics (CRM Analytics) dashboards, reports and embedded analytics for advisors and leadership., • Partner with CRM admins and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and alignment between front-office requirements and warehouse environments., • Data Warehouse & Integration, • Manage the firm’s enterprise data warehouse, integrating data from Pershing/BNY, future custodians, Black Diamond, and other internal/external systems., • Design and govern ETL pipelines that ensure high data reliability, traceability, and performance., • Implement scalable data infrastructure capable of supporting M&A integrations and custodial expansion., • Business Intelligence & Reporting, • Lead the design and governance of enterprise reporting and analytics using Salesforce Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools., • Define and maintain standardized firmwide KPIs (AUM, flows, household growth, advisor productivity, service SLAs)., • Enable self-service reporting and data democratization across business units while ensuring consistency and control., • Partner with senior leaders to translate data insights into business strategy and operational improvements., • Agile Leadership & Cross-Functional Delivery, • Lead the data and analytics function using Agile principles—driving sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and iterative delivery., • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across technology and business teams., • Operations & Workflow Optimization, • Collaborate with Operations and Business Analysis teams to identify inefficiencies and use data to optimize workflows such as onboarding, client servicing, and money movement., • Apply process mapping and KPI tracking to improve service SLAs and enhance advisor and client experiences., • Support integration efforts for acquisitions through data normalization and process alignment., • Leadership & Vendor Management, • Build and mentor a high-performing team of Salesforce admins, developers, and analysts., • Manage external consultants and vendors supporting Salesforce, integrations, data management, and reporting., • Foster strong collaboration across departments to advance data-driven decision-making. Job Qualifications: Education: Required: • Experience within wealth management, RIA, or asset management organizations., • Significant experience with marketing/lead generation and sales funnel and KPI creation and optimization within a Salesforce CRM environment, • Strong expertise with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) and Salesforce Analytics (CRM Analytics / Tableau CRM)., • Hands-on experience with data warehouse architecture and ETL/ELT tools (cloud or on-prem)., • Demonstrated experience with business intelligence and reporting platforms such as Salesforce Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar., • Proven success implementing governance frameworks, metadata management, and master data models., • Deep understanding of custodial data structures (Pershing/BNY, Schwab, Fidelity, etc.) and portfolio/accounting systems like Black Diamond and Orion., • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills—able to bridge business needs and technical solutions., • Demonstrated success working in or leading Agile / Scrum / Kanban environments., • Excellent leadership, prioritization, and project management abilities. Preferred: • Experience managing data transitions during multi-custodial expansion or acquisitions., • Familiarity with integration and middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica, Boomi)., • Experience implementing data catalogs, data lineage, or observability solutions., • Exposure to process automation within Salesforce (Flows, Apex triggers, or third-party automation platforms)., • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
