At ING we are looking for VP of Portfolio Management specializing in TMT Your role and work environment ING is looking for a VP Portfolio Management to join the Lending team within Wholesale Banking. In this role, you will actively manage the TMT lending portfolio across Spain and Portugal, ensuring effective credit monitoring, portfolio optimization, and capital efficiency. You will work closely with colleagues across Origination & Structuring, Risk, Transaction Management, Capital Markets & Advisory, Legal, and support functions to deliver a seamless client experience and maintain a high-quality portfolio. The Portfolio Management team is responsible for managing lending transactions throughout their lifecycle, from post-funding to final repayment, while driving process improvement, standardization, digitalization, and regulatory readiness. Your Key responsibilities • Manage a portfolio of lending clients, acting as the primary contact for ongoing credit monitoring, portfolio analysis, risk reporting, and portfolio optimization., • Conduct quarterly and annual credit reviews, including financial analysis, cash flow modelling, sensitivity analysis, sustainable finance assessments, and credit approval coordination., • Process amendments and waiver requests, coordinating approvals and legal documentation updates through execution., • Monitor credit quality, financial performance, covenant compliance, risk ratings, and potential risk migration., • Identify and manage Early Warning Signals, credit deterioration, forbearance situations, default assessments, and other risk-related events., • Prepare portfolio reports, risk reviews, regulatory submissions, and internal management information., • Maintain portfolio tracking metrics, lending limits, industry databases, and capital velocity initiatives., • Collaborate with relationship managers and sector specialists to identify risks, trends, and commercial opportunities, including cross-buy initiatives., • Coordinate with global portfolio support teams to ensure efficient portfolio management processes., • Contribute to operational excellence through process improvements, digitalization initiatives, data quality enhancements, and transformation projects., • Support the development of junior colleagues through coaching and knowledge sharing. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, sound credit risk judgment, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage complex lending portfolios in a dynamic international environment. Qualifications / Education: • University degree major in business/ economics or relevant business discipline with above-average academic grades. CFA and/ or MBA is a plus. Experience / Knowledge: • 7+ years of relevant credit analysis experience in the banking industry and international environment, preferably having worked with clients in TMT.
