About Wastex Wastex is the technology company within the Coleo Group, a growing organization whose main activities include: • Design, development, and manufacturing of garment and fabric collections for major brands and retail chains, primarily using textile waste., • Management and revalorization of textile waste in waste treatment plants., • Development of technologies for classification, valorization, and traceability of textile waste and materials. The Role We are looking to add a Quality Assurance Specialist to Wastex’s AI team who can successfully implement the technologies developed by Wastex in Coleo’s production and waste management plants, while performing thorough and systematic quality controls to ensure continuous improvement. The role will require travelling to Coleo's plants in Pineda de Mar, Moià and Toulouse, as well as working from our HQ in Mataró. Responsibilities Quality Control and Support • Actively monitor machinery—both in development and in production—to ensure performance and detect anomalies early., • Analyze failures in real time, record patterns and conditions, and prepare useful information to accelerate diagnostic and improvement cycles., • Resolve technical issues on-site with the support and supervision of the technical team., • Perform quality control checks on machinery, including validating changes implemented by the software team to ensure proper functionality., • Spend several weeks at new facilities to verify the operation of installed machinery., • Propose improvements, tests, hypotheses, and protocols based on direct observation of machine behavior and results in real environments. When necessary, lead and train plant operators in executing tests., • Be part of the support team for troubleshooting issues in sold machinery. Sample Management and Technical Investigations • Select, record, and organize samples for dataset creation using specialized sensors and software. Annotate data accurately., • Write reports summarizing findings from investigations conducted for other companies., • Keep the development lead informed about discoveries, incidents, and relevant progress to ensure a clear and coordinated view of each project’s status. Minimum qualifications • Own vehicle and availability to travel as needed., • Willingness to travel for extended periods (2–3 weeks)., • Ability to learn and adapt to constantly evolving environments., • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to provide occasional operational supervision., • Proficiency with digital tools., • Proactive and self-driven attitude., • Fluent in English., • Ability to write well-structured reports using Word/Google Docs., • Preferred qualifications, • Proficiency in French., • Advanced skills in Excel / Power BI.
