We are offering an exciting Unity 3D Game Developer Volunteer Work Experience Programme for aspiring developers who want to develop their technical skills, gain practical experience and build a stronger portfolio. This opportunity is particularly suited to students, graduates, self-taught developers and people at the beginning of their careers who may have learned Unity or C# but need practical experience to take the next step. The Opportunity You will receive guidance and training while gaining practical experience with Unity 3D and C#. As part of the programme, you will have the opportunity to work on prototype educational games and interactive experiences designed with children and young people in mind. The programme combines technical development with employability support, giving you the opportunity to strengthen your Unity skills, portfolio, CV and understanding of working within the UK education technology sector. Depending on the project, you may gain experience in: • Unity 3D game development, • C# scripting, • Gameplay mechanics and systems, • UI and user experience, • Creating engaging, child-friendly digital experiences, • Educational game concepts, • Debugging and testing, • Game development workflows, • Turning ideas and concepts into working prototypes, • Building and presenting projects for your portfolio Free Training & Development We want this experience to contribute to your longer-term career development. Who We’re Looking For You do not need to be an experienced professional game developer. As Kovicas works with schools in the UK, this programme can also give you valuable exposure to how technology is developed and considered within an educational environment.
