Depending on workload, responsibilities may vary between: • Workshop-based fabrication, • On-site installation support, • Production assistance, • Delivery support Job Summary We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business for a skilled and adaptable Welder Fabricator. This role focuses on the welding and fabrication of steel and stainless steel components used in high-quality products and installations. This is a varied position requiring flexibility. While welding is the primary responsibility, workloads may fluctuate. During quieter welding periods, the successful candidate will be expected to support other areas of the business, including workshop operations, site installation, production, and deliveries. Key Responsibilities • Carry out MIG and TIG welding of mild steel and stainless steel to a high standard, • Fabricate components including T-sections, box sections, frames, brackets, door handles, and bespoke metalwork, • Read and accurately interpret fabrication drawings, technical specifications, and cutting lists, • Prepare, assemble, grind, polish, and finish fabricated components, including primer painting where required, • Inspect completed work to ensure weld integrity, dimensional accuracy, and high-quality finish, • Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently, • Ensure the workshop remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards, including proper use of PPE, • Assist with loading/unloading materials, moving stock, and preparing items for dispatch or installation, • Support installation teams on site when required, including working as a fitter’s mate, • Assist production teams or support deliveries during quieter periods within the welding function, • Monitor stock levels of materials and consumables and communicate requirements to the relevant team, • Work to deadlines and communicate any issues, delays, or quality concerns promptly to management Other Duties & Responsibilities Handle heavy materials safely using correct manual handling techniques and equipment Assist with troubleshooting, snagging, and remedial works in both workshop and site environments Maintain tools, equipment, vans, and work areas in a clean and presentable condition Provide general support across fabrication, production, installation, and logistics as required Undertake any other reasonable duties in line with business needs Skills, Knowledge & Experience Proven experience in a welding and fabrication role Strong working knowledge of MIG and TIG welding, particularly with mild steel and stainless steel Experience working with architectural metalwork, glazing, or similar industries (desirable) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication details accurately High attention to detail and pride in producing quality finished work Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Good understanding of workshop safety, risk awareness, and PPE requirements Physically capable of manual handling and supporting site-based work when required Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with willingness to support multiple departments Full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)

Job Title: Fitter’s Mate We are currently seeking an experienced Fitter’s Mate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and a strong background in at least one of the following areas: architectural glazing, sliding doors, high-end door systems, or pivot doors. A clean driving licence is highly desirable. Job Purpose As a Fitter’s Mate, you'll assist with the on-site installation of glass and framework systems. You’ll be involved in site prep, material handling, framework assembly, and silicone application. Duties and Responsibilities Core Duties (All Levels) • Load and unload tools/materials., • Keep work areas clean and organised., • Clear the site at the end of each day., • Assist with handling and storing glass deliveries., • Help with framework assembly tasks (measuring, cutting, fitting)., • Read and interpret basic technical drawings for minor on-site fabrication., • Apply silicone sealant to an acceptable standard with guidance., • Assist fitters closely; follow detailed instructions., • Participate in basic installation tasks with supervision., • Apply silicone sealant independently and professionally., • Operate site equipment (e.g., sucker machines)., • Install flashings and claddings from technical drawings, • Carry out quality checks and take completion photos, • Prioritise tasks and handle on-site issues with minimal supervision Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential • Background in construction (required), • Familiarity with hand/power tools, • Basic knowledge of health & safety, • Physically fit and capable of manual work, • Strong time management and communication, • Professional appearance, • Clean driving licence (preferred) Working Conditions • Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (subject to change based on site/location needs), • Breaks: 1 hour total — 2 x 15 min paid, 1 x 30 min unpaid, • Pick-up/Drop-off: Office Quarter (daily), • Work is physically demanding and site-based, • PPE provided Salary & Benefits • £14 -16 per hour, depending on experience (DOE), • 20 days holiday, plus 1 additional day per year after 4 years of continuous service, • Bonus scheme (paid twice yearly), • Company-funded formal training, • All PPE supplied
