We are seeking a Web Solutions Architect with expertise in: • Consulting with clients on defining sitemaps, user flows, key website features/requirements and create specification documents., • Converting client business objectives into clear, actionable technical specifications and producing technical scope, • Leading client calls and the development team through discovery, design, development, and launch process Digital Silk is built upon the principles of self-betterment, excellence, proactivity, and teamwork. We do require team members to work 8am to 5pm EST (with breaks) as our clients are in the US. What we offer at Digital Silk: • A work culture focused on mutual success and continuous growth, • Competitive pay and scheduled yearly raises, • Shares in the company – share in profit upon company sale, • Challenging projects and opportunity to work with great team members, • Job stability in case of illness, and personal problems, • Work-from-home opportunity, • 4 weeks paid time off Roles & Responsibilities • Consult with clients to define sitemaps, user flows, key features, and requirements, translating business objectives into clear, actionable technical specifications and documentation., • Turn client goals into complete technical solutions—including platform recommendations, functional flows, architecture choices, integration plans, and long-term technical implications., • Produce detailed technical scopes, estimates, and specification documents, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with performance, security, accessibility, and SEO best practices., • Lead clients and internal teams through discovery, design, development, and launch, providing technical clarity and direction at every stage., • Support the Sales team during all pre-sales activities, offering technical credibility, feasibility assessments, solution pitches, and scoping guidance during sales and discovery calls., • Validate estimates, timelines, and solution approaches to ensure deliverables can be executed efficiently, profitably, and within organizational capabilities., • Identify technical risks early and recommend mitigation strategies, while advising clients on options, trade-offs, constraints, and cross-sell opportunities that add long-term value., • Collaborate closely with Digital Strategy, Design, Project Management, and Development teams to maintain alignment with the intended architecture and provide ongoing technical clarification post-kickoff. Requirements • 8+ years of experience in web development, engineering, or technical architecture., • 5+ years of practical experience in PHP, JavaScript, and CSS development, • Hands-on technical experience working with WordPress, Shopify and/or Magento, • Experience in digital agencies or similar service businesses is a strong plus., • Proven experience working with sales teams on proposals, pitches, and RFP responses., • Hands-on understanding of front-end, back-end, integrations, CMS/eCommerce platforms, best practices, and functional specification., • Proven experience scoping complex projects, estimating effort, and aligning technical requirements with business value. Skill Set • Excellent, outstanding English skills and proactive client-facing communication, • Understanding of web architecture (front-end, back-end, databases, servers)., • Knowledge of API design, integrations, automations, and middleware tools., • Understanding of UX/UI principles, customer journeys, and conversion optimization., • Ability to map user flows, technical flows, and data flows., • Ability to assess technical feasibility, risk, and scope., • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, business-friendly language., • Strong presentation and pitching ability for both technical and business audiences., • Ability to uncover client needs, propose solutions, and articulate business value., • Ability to build trust quickly and become a “go-to” technical advisor for the Sales team., • Ability to identify cross-sell opportunities (integrations, automation, CRO, advanced features).
