Job description: Vocational Tutor Roles we are looking for – Mechanics, Hair & Beauty, Construction or Hospitality Location: Wolverhampton (Kingsley Academy) WV3 0LA Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About Us Kingsley Academy is a specialist SEND provision in Wolverhampton dedicated to supporting young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Students are placed with us through Local Authority commissioning, and we provide a safe, nurturing environment where every learner is valued, understood, and encouraged to succeed. Our approach is centred on building confidence, developing independence, and preparing students for meaningful adult life. We recognise that every young person’s journey is unique, which is why we offer personalised learning pathways tailored to individual strengths, needs, and aspirations. The Role We are looking for passionate Vocational Tutors with industry experience in one of the following areas: • Mechanics, • Hair & Beauty, • Construction, • Hospitality You will deliver engaging, practical lessons to small groups of learners with SEND, adapting teaching to meet individual needs while supporting behaviour, wellbeing, and employability skills. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver hands-on, differentiated vocational sessions., • Create a safe, inclusive learning environment., • Support learners to gain recognised skills and confidence for future pathways., • Track progress, maintain records, and contribute to EHCP reviews., • Work closely with staff, families, and Local Authorities., • Uphold safeguarding and positive behaviour standards at all times. Requirements Essential: • Relevant qualification or strong industry experience in your vocational area., • Experience working with young people (SEND or alternative provision desirable)., • Strong communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills., • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education. Desirable: • Teaching/assessing qualification (PGCE, Level 3 AET, or similar)., • Safeguarding or behaviour support training.
