Job Details JOB BAND : D CONTRACT TYPE : Full-time Attachment until March 2027 DEPARTMENT : CCOG LOCATION : London - Hybrid PROPOSED SALARY RANGE : £45,000 - £55,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. The BBC News Audiences team works closely with journalists, editors and content makers to ensure audiences are at the heart of decision-making about the stories we tell. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT: Build strong, collaborative relationships with editorial teams across TV and iPlayer - from core news programmes (e.g. Breakfast, Newsnight, BBC News at Ten) to long form output such as Panorama and Current Affairs. Become the go to expert for TV and iPlayer performance reporting, helping to design new reporting frameworks that drive data led decision making and help grow digital audiences. Take a leading role in evolving and improving measurement of BBC News across platforms. This includes partnering closely with the Audience Intelligence Team and the Measurement Team alongside Content Analytics, Data Science and Product teams to ensure we're getting the very best out of our data, to derive the very best insights. Lead ad hoc research projects using a range of methodologies (e.g. surveys, focus groups) to shape BBC News output across platforms and ensure it best serves UK audiences. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Experience in audience measurement and handling media industry data - including digital and social analytics, TV data (BARB) and/or radio data (RAJAR). Proven analytical strengths with confidence working across large, complex datasets. Hands on experience using a wide mix of qualitative and quantitative research approaches. Excellent communicator, able to transform data into clear, engaging reports, articles, and presentations for stakeholders with varying levels of data expertise. Strong time management skills, with the ability to adapt quickly and deliver in a fast moving news environment. Genuine interest in the UK news and media landscape, wider audience trends, and the context in which BBC News operates. DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED: Experience of audience measurement in platforms such as Piano, TechEdge, Telmar and / or social media analytics. ]]>
