An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&E Project Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a growing and forward-thinking building services and facilities management business. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you will take full ownership of projects from inception through to completion. Operating within a lead engineer model, you will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Role As an M&E Project Engineer, you will play a key role in both the commercial and operational delivery of projects, combining technical expertise with strong organisational and communication skills. You will be expected to take responsibility for multiple projects, managing all aspects from pre-start through to final account and handover. Key Responsibilities • Review and validate project scope against initial estimates prior to commencement, • Procure materials and manage supply chain and buying processes, • Develop, monitor and update project programmes, • Oversee site delivery, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency, • Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures, • Prepare valuations and manage variations, including pricing and negotiation, • Drive projects through to completion, including final accounts and handover, • Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery, • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting Additional Responsibilities • Provide support to estimating functions during peak periods, • Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery processes, • Assist with commercial input where required across the business About You Strong electrical background with a good understanding of full M&E project delivery Proven experience managing projects from start to finish Commercially aware, with experience in valuations, variations and cost control Organised, proactive and confident in taking ownership of projects Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders Flexible and team-oriented approach About the Business This is a well-established building services and facilities management provider delivering a wide range of projects across commercial and healthcare environments.
