Job Title: Site Manager – Civil Engineering Contractor Location: Alloa Company Overview: An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor with a strong focus on infrastructure and groundworks. Following several recent contract awards, the company has firmly positioned itself as a leading name in commercial groundworks and roadworks throughout Central Scotland. Role Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale groundworks and roadworks schemes. This is a pivotal role, requiring a proactive and organised individual to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, in line with client expectations. The role will involve a significant amount of office-based work, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date site records and project documentation. Key Responsibilities: • Health & Safety Leadership: Foster a positive health and safety culture by enforcing site protocols, conducting inductions, and ensuring the correct use of PPE., • Project Delivery: Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring works are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to specification., • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and responsiveness throughout the project lifecycle., • Procurement: Oversee the timely procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment., • Site Audits: Conduct regular safety audits in line with company policies and procedures., • RAMS & Planning: Prepare and implement Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and detailed project programmes., • A degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, • Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager, specifically within groundworks and roadworks projects, • Valid SMSTS (5-day), CSCS card, and First Aid certification, • Temporary Works Co-ordinator/Supervisor certification (desirable), • Strong project planning skills, with experience in preparing short- and long-term programmes, • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems, • Efficient in recording and managing site data and documentation, • Sound commercial and contractual awareness in a civil engineering context, • In-depth knowledge of current health and safety legislation, • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications, • Comprehensive benefits package, including pension and private healthcare To apply for this exciting opportunity, please submit your most recent CV.
