The Role Main Purpose As a key member of our client’s Business Development team, the primary responsibility will be to support and drive our growth initiatives from Strategy, Design and Build services across a portfolio of commercial premises. The main objective of this role is to seek, identify, qualify, and secure lucrative opportunities particularly in strategy, design and build contracts. In doing so, you will contribute significantly to revenue growth by expanding our client’s base, diversifying into new market sectors, and enhancing the overall value proposition offered by the business. Responsibilities & accountabilities • Identifying New Business Opportunities: Conduct comprehensive research on Prospects to gain sufficient knowledge to approach them successfully., • Lead Generation: Support the Business Development Team with data collation for networking and lead generation opportunities (information on business sectors, markets, companies), attending industry events, and utilising digital marketing strategies. Generate office design, refurbishment and fit out opportunities., • Client Relationship Management: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while also cultivating relationships with potential clients. This involves regular communication, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction, and promoting the brand externally., • Book introductory meetings with relevant qualified personnel., • Follow up with and nurture the qualified leads until they are appropriate to hand over to sales., • BD Strategy Development: Contributing to the creation and implementation of BD strategies and tactics to achieve business growth objectives., • Market Expansion: Identifying and evaluating new markets and business niches to expand the company’s reach and profitability. Calling companies to explain the services the company offers and qualify the prospect., • Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive and customer-focused approach to business development., • Sales Reporting and Analysis: Monitoring and analysing, market trends, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions and adjustments to sales strategies., • Ensure the CRM database is accurate, and updated and the progress of prospects is managed through the pipeline. Person specification: • Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with different departments and stakeholders., • Effective written and verbal communication skills., • Be confident and consultative when talking to prospects and customers on the phone; especially decision makers., • Have a positive and engaging manner., • Customer Focus: High standard of service, attention to detail and organisation., • Team Work: Be able to work effectively as part of a team., • Degree in Business, Economics, or equivalent experience., • A minimum of 3 years experience in Business Development.
