We can help you thrive in a career that's a world away from the everyday. \n What's the role? \n It is imperative for safe operations at Gatwick Airport that the engineering infrastructure is optimally designed, constructed, operated and maintained. \n The Principal Integration Engineer will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of Gatwick's Engineering Asset Replacement Plan. In conjunction with discipline specific SMEs, they will provide professional competence, technical expertise and leadership on a variety of discipline Engineering matters. The role also requires skills in Project Management to support the integration of assets into business as usual. \n What you'll be doing \n\n • Provide technical guidance and expertise to all GAL departments in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of engineering systems and infrastructure.\n, • Ensure delivery of the technical briefing process, translating client needs into appropriate technical design requirements.\n, • Balance the different business needs to achieve a successful design outcome, including commercial, operational, and technical aspects.\n, • Sign-off all designs via the design review and Design Council process.\n, • Operate as the Responsible Engineer for any activities regarding Engineering systems and Permits to Work.\n, • Balance the need to design fit for purpose infrastructure assets whilst maximising the best whole life cycle benefits.\n, • Deliver small projects from initiation through to benefits realisation.\n, • Experience in the successful planning, delivery and implementation of major capital projects, where sustainability is a key driver.\n, • The individual must be able to understand and work with technical professionals, design consultants, regulating bodies and on-site contractors as appropriate.\n, • Experience of providing information required to implement large scale operational maintenance regimes and delivering continuous improvement initiatives.\n, • In-depth knowledge of current specific Statutory Regulations, British Standards, emerging technologies/processes, and industry best practice.\n, • Experience in managing stakeholder aspirations and balancing technical requirements and financial constraints.\n, • Experience operating as the ‘Responsible Engineer' for specific policy and standard approvals, concessions and process controls.\n, • Proven experience of operating in a multi disciplined environment balancing technical, commercial, and operational needs.\n, • Adept at communicating at all levels and across different teams and stakeholders.\n, • Proficient understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental considerations associated with construction and operational environments, including CDM.\n, • an annual bonus,\n, • share scheme,\n
