Principal Psychologist (Low Secure & Rehab) £34,950 - £40,950 Part time (22.5 hours) On-site working Fully funded CPD We are working with the leading independent provider of mental health and adult social care in the UK that has a "good" CQC rating. Offering excellent working facilities & continuous development, you will be part of a compassionate team that are serious about personal development and use a trauma informed approach to help support the recovery of patients. Essential: • Doctoral qualification (or equivalent) in applied psychology, • Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and preferably Charterable status with the British Psychological Society., • Experience working with individuals with complex needs relevant to the service population -, • Competence in assessing, formulating, and working therapeutically with service users with mental illness, personality disorder, learning difficulties and autism and the delivery of high-level interventions, • Confident grasp of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and at least two other therapeutic modalities - including training in an intervention suitable for working with location specific disorders, • Understand and apply therapy principles with a willingness to train if not already received Job Responsibilities: • Conduct psychological and psychometric assessments, accurately interpreting and reporting findings, • Coordinate psychological input from the wider psychology team, including qualified psychologists, trainees, assistants and students., • Liaise with inpatient and community psychology services to support continuity of care., • Provide consultation and psychological advice to multidisciplinary staff regarding assessment, therapy and effective approaches for specific service users., • Provide clinical, professional and management supervision to junior psychology staff., • Prepare assessment and risk reports in line with psychological service provision., • Attend and contribute to CPA reviews, offering psychological perspectives on treatment planning, risk management and systemic interventions, • Communicate assessment findings, formulations and treatment plans sensitively and effectively to patients, families and the multidisciplinary team, • Facilitate staff training aligned with the psychology provision., • Conduct research, service evaluations and audits to support service improvement.
