Our client Scottish Power Transmission are currently recruiting for a Quality Advisor to join the team, on an initial contract basis, based in South Murton, County Durahm Role: Quality Advisor Business: Scottish Power Transmission Duration: 18 months initial contract Location: South Murton, County Durham Salary range: negotiable EGL1 is a two-gigawatt high voltage direct current electrical connection to be built between Torness in East Lothian, Scotland and Hawthorn Pit in County Durham. The multi-billion-pound project is being developed through a joint venture between SP Energy Networks and National Grid Energy Transmission. Key Responsibilities · Take ownership of a construction activities at site, acting as the Quality Advisor. · Review and advise on Contractor’s Quality Management Plan, ITPs with associated Check Sheets. · Provide support and advice to project and office-based staff to achieve compliance with internal and external quality management systems and industry best practices. · Attend project progress and coordination meetings where required to provide quality input and advice. · Conduct regular site inspections to carry out quality inspections with frequency determined by risk factor, verifying QA & QC adherence to quality standards. · Support project team to identify and solve quality nonconformities, manage incidents and follow up. · Support project teams in identifying non-conformances and managing resolutions. · Assist in ensuring handover documents including completed ITPs records (verification data referenced) and as-built information are captured in a timely manner by conducting regular reviews of the final file. · Provide information to the Project Manager to support Contractor review and Lessons Learned. · Assist in the continuous development of team-wide quality processes and procedures Required Experience & Skills · HND or Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related Construction discipline. · Site-based construction experience in a Civil/Electrical infrastructure environment (preferable). · Understanding of QA/QC principles and ISO 9001 standards. · ISO 9001 Internal/Lead Auditor qualification (beneficial but not essential). · Working knowledge of Inspection & Test Plans/Check-Sheets for construction projects. · Analytical mindset with good communication and problem-solving skills. · Current valid driving licence. · CSCS card (preferable).
