As part of our team, you can make a lasting impact on how we do things and firmly leave your mark. About the Role The purpose of this role is to support Norma UK’s manufacturing processes. This covers a night shift 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday to Thursday and 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Friday. Responsibilities • Maintain all production machinery in a safe, serviceable condition, • Repair production machinery and equipment following breakdowns, • Complete any specific process development tasks as/when required, • Support the design, build/modification of new/existing manufacturing equipment as/when required, • Ensure all safety and environmental regulations are adhered to, including housekeeping standards, • Support the department with planning and conducting the preventative maintenance programme, • Ensure all maintenance records are correctly maintained and regularly updated, • Maintain adequate stocks of spare parts, ordering/manufacturing components as required, • Liaise with sub-contractor for specialist service or repair, • Ensure that all production machinery and equipment is adequately guarded to the legal requirements, • Assist and support new product introductions, continuous improvement projects, kaizen events, special projects etc., as required, • Identify and implement machine and process improvements (Changes to machinery or processes to be agreed with the Manufacturing Engineering Department and validated accordingly), • Support the design, build/modification and installation of new/existing manufacturing equipment as requested by the Maintenance Manager, including visits to machine builders when required, • Liaise with other maintenance staff and/or shift supervisors at shift changeovers, communicating any machinery or equipment related issues and priorities Qualifications & Skills Required • Mechanical or Mechanical/Electrical trade background with relevant education and significant industrial field experience, • Extensive experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance, • Substantial exposure to machinery fitting, alignment and equipment troubleshooting, • Ideally, proficient in welding operations, • Good communication skills, • Must have Right to Work status in the UK Our people are a global force of the finest minds committed to driving leading edge technology forward to create solutions for tomorrow’s challenges.
