Registered Manager â Childrenâs Residential Home (EBD) Location: Greater London Salary: ÂŁ55,000 â ÂŁ70,000 + Annual Bonus About the Organisation This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established, forward-thinking childrenâs residential care provider with a clear mission â to deliver exceptional outcomes for young people through safe, nurturing, and empowering homes. The organisation builds on a strong foundation of success in supported accommodation and transitional care for young people across the UK. With that experience, they are now expanding into the childrenâs residential sector, creating high-quality, therapeutic environments for young people aged 8â18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Their first Ofsted-registered home, based in Greater London, will provide a supportive and structured environment for up to four children and young people. As part of this exciting growth, the company is seeking a passionate, capable, and dynamic Registered Manager to lead the service from pre-registration through to operational excellence. The Role The Registered Manager will take full operational and regulatory responsibility for the new home, leading it through Ofsted registration and ensuring that it consistently delivers outstanding, child-centred care. Key Responsibilities â Pre-Registration Phase ⢠Lead the Ofsted registration process alongside the Responsible Individual and senior team., ⢠Develop key operational documents including the Statement of Purpose, Childrenâs Guide, and Policies & Procedures., ⢠Ensure the home, environment, and staffing meet all regulatory and quality requirements., ⢠Establish strong safeguarding, supervision, care planning, and reporting frameworks., ⢠Prepare for Ofsted interviews and demonstrate readiness for registration., ⢠Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and internal standards., ⢠Inspire and manage your team to deliver consistent, therapeutic, and child-centred care., ⢠Maintain robust safeguarding practices and ensure all staff follow child protection protocols., ⢠Drive continuous improvement through regular quality audits and performance reviews., ⢠Build positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies., ⢠Ensure high-quality record keeping and effective reporting systems. About You Youâll be an experienced, values-driven professional with the vision and determination to lead a new home to success. Essential Requirements ⢠Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or be committed to completing this in your first year, ⢠At least 2 yearsâ experience as a Registered Manager in an Ofsted-registered childrenâs home (EBD or similar)., ⢠Proven success in achieving at least a âGoodâ Ofsted rating., ⢠Strong working knowledge of The Childrenâs Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards., ⢠Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills., ⢠Experience supporting children and young people with EBD, trauma, or attachment needs., ⢠Previous involvement in setting up or registering a new childrenâs home.
