Role Description – Marketing Intern (Social Media) Filming for Humanity (FFH) is a socially driven film organisation creating powerful educational and impactful movies that shed light on real human stories. Our mission is simple use film as a tool for empathy, awareness, and change. We create movies across all genres — documentaries, social-impact pieces, special-interest films, and stories that open hearts and inspire action. To grow this mission, we are looking for a passionate, creative Marketing Intern to help amplify our films across social media and support the visibility of our wider work. This role is perfect for someone who loves movies, storytelling, and digital creativity — and who wants to gain hands-on experience while contributing to a cause that matters. What You’ll Be Doing Your role will centre around increasing awareness of our films and showcasing the impact behind them. Key responsibilities include Social Media Content Creation • Drafting engaging posts for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok, • Creating short-form video snippets (behind-the-scenes clips, trailers, quote cards, crew highlights), • Repurposing film footage into compelling social content, • Writing captions that communicate our mission and storytelling approach, • BE creative with new ideas, podcast, street interview, it is your turn to shine Campaign Support • Helping to plan and execute awareness campaigns for upcoming films, • Supporting the rollout of teaser materials, premieres, and special screenings, • Scheduling posts and assisting with content calendars Brand & Messaging • Helping maintain consistency with FFH’s creative identity and visuals, • Bringing fresh ideas on how to visually present our films, our impact, and our community, • Collaborating with the team to refine the tone, storytelling angles, and engagement strategies Community Engagement • Monitoring social platforms and encouraging positive conversations around our projects, • Identifying relevant accounts, hashtags, and communities to engage with, • Supporting partnerships and cross-promotion when necessary What You’ll Deliver By the end of your internship, you’ll have contributed to • A consistent social media presence across our main platforms, • A set of campaign assets for upcoming film releases, • A refreshed and engaging content style for FFH, • Increased visibility and engagement around our movies and mission Who This Role Suits This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who • Loves film and storytelling, • Is creative, organised, and eager to learn and create, • Wants to build real experience in social media marketing, • Cares about social impact and wants to be part of something meaningful What are we looking for? For the Communication and Marketing Assistant role at Filming for Humanity, we are seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in either campaign management, event coordination, social media management, and office administration. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Marketing Head and the Founder to execute marketing campaigns, manage events, and maintain social media presence. Key responsibilities include community engagement management, coordinating marketing campaigns, managing social media platforms, assisting with office administration tasks, and responding to PR queries. The Communication and Marketing Assistant will play a crucial role in promoting Filming for Humanity's mission and projects effectively. They should be creative, proactive, and able to work independently from home. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for humanitarian work are essential for success in this role. What will you be doing? We are looking for a Marketing & Communication volunteer to help and support with campaigning, event management and social media marketing. Working with the founder, you are the number 2 of the charity and you will be able to present ideas for the overall marketing strategy. The role is flexible and you can work from home, however, we will require your help on filming day on stage (all expenses paid) which is currently once a month (the next filming day is the 27th and 28th of April in London). The details of your roles include but are not limited to • Marketing campaigns creating and executing marketing campaigns that promote our movies, membership platform and charities. This can involve tasks such as market research, developing creative assets, managing budgets, and analysing metrics., • Content creation producing high-quality content that resonates with the target audience. This may include blog posts, social media updates, email newsletters, videos, and more., • Marketing strategy developing and maintaining a consistent brand image across all marketing channels. This involves creating brand guidelines, monitoring brand mentions, and working with other teams to ensure brand consistency., • Event management planning and executing events that promote our initiative and the charity we're partnering with. This may include filming days, castings, galas, film premieres, service launches, and other charitable events. This is an exciting opportunity for someone that loves movies and arts. We are looking for someone able to work at least 10 hours a week and might be able to join the team as a full-time employee in the future.
