Lifeguard - February Holiday Camp - Queen's College - Taunton, Somerset \n\n Making school holidays extraordinary \n\n The Details \n\n\n\t • Title: Lifeguard\n\t, • Reporting to: Camp Manager\n\t, • Contract: Seasonal work in school holidays.\n\t, • Lifeguard for all age groups of children on our camps during timetabled swimming sessions.\n\t, • Take a pastoral role as a group leader, welcoming new children into your group and liaising with the Camp Manager and/or parents as necessary.\n\t, • Supervise and engage with the children outside of activity times.\n\t, • Maintain a clean and tidy pool area.\n\t, • Continuously promote the welfare of the children in your care.\n\t, • Show high levels of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, acting as a suitable role model for the children.\n\t, • Ensure all policies and procedures on camp are adhered to by yourself and the children in your care, including all health and safety, and safeguarding procedures.\n\t, • Live up to the Ultimate Activity Camp promise of ‘Inspiring Children Every Day’ and behave in a manner that reflects the expectations of the company throughout your employment.\n\t, • Qualified lifeguard (NARS or NPLQ) with a minimum depth in line with the facilities at the camp you apply to work at. Depth tests can be arranged if the minimum depth on your certificate is not as deep as required.\n\t, • Able to complete and pass a Pool competency test prior to working.\n\t, • Maintain physical requirements as set out in NPLQ, throughout employment.\n\t, • Confident and assertive manor on the poolside.\n\t, • Experience of working with children in a childcare setting.\n\t, • Be enthusiastic, energetic and passionate about working developing children through play and activity.\n\t, • Good organisation and communication skills. Candidates must be confident in their ability to lead a group of children and not shy away from responsibility.\n\t, • A flexible, team player, able to adapt to dynamic situations and challenges on camp.\n\t, • Ideally qualified in or working towards relevant qualification (e.g., childcare, education, sports or art), with experience of working with children and delivering activities.\n\t, • Prior experience in a similar role.\n\t, • Paid pre-camp training programme to prepare you to be an Ultimate staff member.\n\t, • Competitive pay and opportunities for progression\n\t, • Subsidised First Aid qualifications and CPD opportunities.\n\t, • Each day is filled with rewarding work in an enthusiastic environment.\n\t
