The Team The Senior Manager HR Operations & Systems is accountable for leading and optimising global HR operational delivery and systems strategy across a workforce of 1,200+ employees in 25+ countries. This role integrates HR operations, systems, compliance, and employee relations to ensure scalable, compliant, and employee-centric service delivery. The role provides leadership to managers and professionals, develops departmental plans, controls resources, and drives policy formation in alignment with the HR functional objectives and overall company priorities. Role and Responsibilities • Global HR Service Delivery: Own and continuously improve HR operational services across all geographies, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance through the Global People Services (GPS) team., • Operational Oversight & Alignment: Oversee day-to-day HR operations globally, ensuring alignment with global standards, local needs, and managing third-party providers in smaller country offices., • Performance & Excellence: Drive operational excellence through process standardization, automation, and continuous monitoring/reporting on operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)., • HR Systems Management: Ensure the optimal use and evolution of HR systems (e.g., Workday), partnering with HRIS/IT teams for maintenance, enhancement, and strategic alignment with business priorities., • Data Integrity & Security: Lead system upgrades, integrations, and rigorous data governance initiatives to ensure accuracy, integrity, and security across all HR technology platforms., • Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain deep knowledge of global and local regulations (e.g., labour laws, GDPR), developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), controls, and audit readiness., • Crisis & Investigations: Lead the HR response to complex investigations, ethics complaints, and crisis coordination, ensuring duty of care and worker welfare standards are met., • Employee Relations Strategy: Lead the development and execution of employee relations strategies, translating the global philosophy into country-specific plans and managing relationships with employee representative bodies., • Engagement & Culture: Oversee grievance handling, investigations, and proactive interventions to enhance leadership quality, employee engagement, and support country-specific culture, health, and welfare programs., • Leadership & Collaboration: Provide leadership for the HR Operations & Systems function, developing departmental plans, managing budgets, and building team capability while actively collaborating with People Business Partners (PBPs) and Centres of Excellence (CoEs). What you’ll bring • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field., • Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Level 5 or higher., • Progressive HR Experience including leadership roles in HR Operations and Systems., • Proven track record of leading HR teams across multiple geographies., • HRIS Expertise (Workday Focus): Demonstrated success in implementing and optimizing HR systems, preferably Workday., • Workday Pro Certification or an equivalent HRIS systems certification is advantageous, • Proven experience in global shared services models and vendor management., • Deep understanding of HR operations, shared services, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) management., • Experience managing complex Employee and Industrial Relations in multi-sector environments., • Compliance Knowledge: Strong knowledge of international labour laws, GDPR, and compliance frameworks.
