You will play a central role in managing all aspects of stock management, supplier relationships, and inventory control to support clinical and non-clinical services across the Centre. The role encompasses leadership of the supplies team, operational performance management, procurement coordination, cost control, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and organisational standards. We are seeking an individual who can embed best practice into everyday operations at the Welbeck site through close collaboration with clinical teams, senior leadership, and key stakeholders. You will be supported by the Operations Director and will work in partnership with the Procurement Team, Accounts Teams, and clinical and administrative leaders to continually enhance and develop supplies services. Responsibilities: • Leading the supplies team to ensure all departments have the right products in the right quantity, quality, place, and time to support clinical and non-clinical services., • Managing stock levels, stock location details, demand capture, distribution, and loan kit coordination in collaboration with CSSD and clinical teams., • Setting up and maintaining supplier relationships, including onboarding new suppliers, negotiating pricing, and monitoring compliance with service contracts., • Approving and managing invoices, coordinating with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and resolving discrepancies., • Costing new procedures in collaboration with clinical teams and monitoring net profit for existing procedures., • Developing, implementing, and maintaining standard operating procedures, training manuals, and systems for supplies management., • Ensuring effective operational performance, including monitoring, auditing, and reporting on supplies activity., • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, sustainability projects, and innovative procurement solutions., • Supporting recruitment, induction, performance management, and development of the supplies team to build a high-performing, collaborative culture., • Engaging with stakeholders across the Centre to optimise expenditure, streamline replenishment processes, and maintain uninterrupted service delivery., • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, infection prevention, safeguarding, confidentiality, and equality & diversity requirements. What can you bring? • Substantial experience in supplies, procurement, or inventory management, within a healthcare or multi-specialty environment., • Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop staff., • Strong organisational, planning, and analytical skills, including budget and cost control experience., • Experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and service-level monitoring., • Knowledge of compliance and governance requirements within a healthcare setting., • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders., • Demonstrable commitment to quality, patient-centred service, and continuous improvement., • Proficiency with supplies management systems, ordering platforms, and data analysis tools.
