Primary School Teaching Assistant September Start Location: Westminster (close to a Victoria Line station) Pay: £104£115 per day (via umbrella) Contract: Full-time, Long Term Start Date: 2nd September 2025 Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive mainstream primary school in Westminster. This role offers the chance to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and make a genuine difference in their school experience. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with EHCPs (up to 6 per class) Support children with SEND including autism, ADHD, speech/language needs, or physical challenges Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging learning resources Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support individual learning journeys Encourage emotional and social development through consistent care and guidance The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience in educational or childcare settings, ideally within Key Stages 12 Demonstrate a solid understanding of SEND and effective support strategies Show confidence and empathy in managing challenging behaviours Be proactive, flexible, and passionate about inclusion Possess excellent communication skills and fluent spoken/written English Be fully aware of safeguarding and child protection policies About the School: This friendly Westminster school is easily accessible via the Victoria Line and offers a welcoming, collaborative culture.
