See what audiences have been saying about the show: ROLE OVERVIEW: As the Show Maintenance Technician to join our Site Team at ABBA Voyage, contributing to the smooth running of our temporary demountable venue and ensuring outstanding audience experience at all performances. You will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities, conducting pre-show checks, and ensuring the seamless operation of one of the world's most advanced entertainment venues . This role provides a professional, enabling, and efficient service for all visitors and staff at the ABBA Arena. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DAILY MAINTENANCE & OPERATIONS • Conduct comprehensive pre-show opening checks across the ABBA Arena, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc., • Monitor and maintain HVAC systems to ensure optimal environmental conditions for equipment and audience comfort, • Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all technical equipment, • Respond to emergency maintenance issues during show operations, • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment status reports TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE • Oversee the setting up, operating, and maintaining of the physical aspects of the live events venue, • Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities, • Diagnose and repair issues, ensuring a safe and functional environment SAFETY & COMPLIANCE • Conduct daily safety inspections of all venue areas and maintenance equipment, • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and venue policies, • Participate in emergency evacuation procedures and safety drills, • Maintain and test emergency systems including fire safety and evacuation lighting, • Report any safety concerns or equipment failures immediately DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING • Complete detailed pre-show checklists and technical reports, • Maintain equipment service records and warranty documentation, • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers, • Assist with equipment inventory management and procurement requests ABOUT YOU: Essential: • Previous experience in a similar events or entertainment venue, theatre, arena or festival environment., • Strong problem-solving ability, which may be under pressure., • Electrician qualified to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent, • Strong knowledge of building fabric and plant, • Basic mechanical repair skills, • Knowledge of entertainment industry safety standards and regulations, • Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach to work, • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, • Strong problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting abilities, • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team, • Physical fitness for manual handling and working at height DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL – possessing any of the following would be advantageous: • Experience with immersive entertainment or themed attractions, • Previous experience in high-profile entertainment venues, • Current PAT testing certification, • Working at Height certification, • IPAF 3A, 3B or ideally 1B, • First Aid certifications
