Job Title: Solar PV O&M Electrician π Location: [Insert location] πΌ Salary: Β£36,000 - Β£45,000 DOE + Bonus + Overtime π Full-Time | Permanent Matchtech's is currently partnering with a very reputable leading EPC across the construction and operation of Solar PV projects. We are currently looking for a dedicated Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Electrician, maintaining and servicing utility-scale ground mount solar PV systems across the West Midlands. Key Responsibilities β’ Carry out routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems, β’ Follow the Preventative Maintenance schedule in line with the annual PPM plan, β’ Perform Corrective Maintenance tasks as they arise, β’ Complete daily site visit reports and activity logs using our online reporting system, β’ Conduct site-specific risk assessments and report all near misses to the Manager, β’ Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors on-site, ensuring full H&S compliance, β’ Ensure accurate and detailed records of electrical testing for audit purposes, β’ Troubleshoot and fault-find both AC and DC systems, β’ Report any site issues promptly to the Manager, β’ Maintain compliance with all fire, health & safety regulations and company policies, β’ Attend mandatory safety training and respond to changing safety requirements, β’ Flexibility for occasional overnight stays and participation in weekend rota (with additional pay) Required Skills & Qualifications β’ Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ in Electrical Installations, β’ 18th Edition (C&G 2382-18), β’ Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391-52 or equivalent), β’ HV Authorised Person qualification, β’ 3+ years' experience in ground mount Solar PV O&M, β’ Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, incl. distribution boards and combiner boxes, β’ Familiarity with maintenance schedules and procedures, β’ Comfortable with fault finding and use of industry testing equipment (e.g. multimeters, IR testers), β’ Knowledge of SCADA, CCTV systems, and high-voltage (up to 33kV) operations, β’ Ability to coordinate and supervise subcontractors on-site Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): β’ Working at Height / Harness Training, β’ First Aid & Fire Marshal certified, β’ IOSH Health & Safety qualification, β’ Manufacturer training on central inverters What We Offer β’ Competitive salary + Bonus structure, β’ Additional weekend rota payments (Optional), β’ Full private health cover, β’ 4x life assurance, β’ Company pension with up to 6% employer contributions, β’ 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays, β’ Career development & training (up to Level 4), β’ Fully equipped company vehicle, β’ Mobile phone and PC, β’ All PPE provided Apply Today If you're ready to take the next step in your solar O&M career and join a forward-thinking renewable energy company, we'd love to hear from you. π§ Send your CV to
