Quality Manager – Manufacturing (Hands-On) About the Company We are working with a well-established, globally recognised manufacturing business supplying engineered products into a range of industrial sectors. The site operates in a fast-paced production environment with a strong focus on quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. The Role This is a hands-on Quality Manager position where you will take ownership of site quality while remaining close to the shopfloor. You’ll play a key role in: • Driving product quality and process improvement, • Reducing defects, scrap, and rework, • Supporting production teams with real-time quality issues, • Embedding a strong quality-first culture This is not a purely desk-based or compliance role — we are looking for someone who is comfortable being visible on the shopfloor and actively involved in problem-solving. Key Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day quality control activities within a manufacturing environment, • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions (8D, 5 Whys, etc.), • Oversee non-conformance (NCR) processes, ensuring effective resolution, • Work closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to resolve issues quickly, • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve efficiency, • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (ISO 9001), • Conduct internal audits and support external audits, • Monitor and report on quality KPIs, • Support new product introduction (NPI) from a quality perspective, • Manage and develop a small quality team About You We’re looking for someone with a strong manufacturing quality background, who enjoys being hands-on and making a visible impact.
