Term-time only + 3 weeks An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Wellbeing Co-ordinator to join the outstanding team at Shelley College. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting students’ social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their personal best. You will work closely with the SENDCo, pastoral team and wider staff to lead high-quality SEMH provision across the school. This includes coordinating targeted interventions, supporting staff to meet the needs of students with SEMH challenges, and strengthening communication between teaching and support teams. As the school’s Mental Health Lead, you will also contribute to whole-school wellbeing initiatives, staff wellbeing, and national accreditation programmes such as the Leeds Carnegie Mental Health Award. The role involves working directly with students, families and external professionals to ensure every young person receives the right support at the right time. You will also contribute to safeguarding as an Assistant Designated Safeguarding Lead, helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for all.
