Project Manager Location: Farnborough with flexibility to work from home dependent on business demands Do you have experience working on delivering complex technical projects Join our UK Team who are committed to a Mission! The Role The Project Manager is accountable for delivery of one or more interdependent and mission critical change project deliveries leading to a coherent customer outcome. They deliver on behalf of the Delivery Area PM to the customer and will have significant customer engagement with the associated authority to discuss and present issues and resolutions to the customer as well as briefing on change progress. This position is a full time permanent role and applicants must have SC clearance or be willing to undergo the clearance process. What will I be doing • Owning the planning process for all change in their workstream to satisfy the requirements of governance and delivery., • Budget planning and financial control for the workstream reporting to the DAPM and programme finance., • Prioritisation of resource working with the PMO to ensure on time delivery., • Creation maintenance and tracking of schedules and the timelines associated with delivery including any critical milestones., • Reports and returns as required by programme governance, • Customer engagement relationship management and the engagement of other stakeholders as required to deliver the workstream., • Risk management of the workstream., • Act as Subcontract PM as required by the workstream for delivery., • Leadership of the workstream team which may include Line Management responsibilities. You will be self-motivated and be able to work autonomously and within a team to achieve day to day objectives with significant results on project or operational deliverables whilst also owning a variety of activities ensuring compliance with project milestones and customer KPIs and SLAs. You must be an effective communicator comfortable directly engaging with customers and colleagues. You must also demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to projects and technical challenges. What does Leidos need from me We are looking for someone with excellent organisation communication and leadership skills who has: • Proven track record in successfully delivering projects or task work packages of small to medium size and high complexity deliveries., • Experience of working with the Defence or National Security Domain, • Able to demonstrate experience in Project Management., • Experience in SAFe Agile and Waterfall models of delivery cycles., • Good interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders to develop strong working relations to support achieving objectives., • Ability to engage and work within a multi-functional programme team comprising both customer supplier and internal staff with an awareness of engineering principles., • Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of business finance and personnel management techniques and the commercial aspects of projects., • The ability to communicate negotiate and influence effectively., • Enthusiastic self-starter with good verbal communication., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills., • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office., • A technical background in software development/test activities. Clearance Requirements: You will be required to gain UK SC (Security Clearance) for this role.
