This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in housing management, supported accommodation, or social welfare services who is passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals and ensuring high-quality accommodation standards.\n The successful candidate will play a key role in managing housing-related processes, monitoring accommodation standards, supporting residents with housing benefit claims, and ensuring properties remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained.\n Key Responsibilities\n Housing & Financial Management\n\nManage and monitor housing benefit claims, rent payments, and accommodation charges.\nLiaise with local authorities and benefits agencies regarding claims and payments.\nMaintain accurate financial records and produce regular reports.\nMonitor arrears and take appropriate action to maximise income recovery.\nSupport residents to access appropriate benefits and financial assistance.Property & Maintenance Management\n\nOversee the upkeep and maintenance of supported accommodation properties.\nArrange and supervise contractors, maintenance work, and cleaning services.\nConduct property inspections and maintain inventories.\nEnsure accommodation is prepared and ready for new residents.Health & Safety\n\nEnsure all accommodation complies with health and safety legislation and organisational policies.\nConduct risk assessments and maintain health and safety records.\nMonitor fire safety procedures, security systems, and CCTV operations.\nCoordinate annual safety checks and inspections.Housing Administration\n\nMaintain accurate tenancy, referral, and occupancy records.\nProduce monitoring reports and statistical information.\nSupport audits and quality assurance processes.\nManage referrals and ensure accommodation occupancy levels are optimised.Resident Support\n\nProvide practical housing-related support to vulnerable women and families.\nAssist residents in maintaining independent living skills.\nMaintain accurate case records and documentation.\nWork collaboratively with internal and external partners to support resident outcomes.About You\n We are looking for someone who has:\n Essential Requirements\n\nExperience working within housing management, supported accommodation, social welfare, or a similar environment.\nExperience managing housing benefit claims, rents, or accommodation charges.\nStrong administration, record-keeping, and reporting skills.\nGood knowledge of housing legislation and welfare benefits.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrong IT, literacy, and numeracy skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently.\nCommitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.Desirable\n\nHousing Management qualification or relevant training.\nExperience supporting vulnerable individuals or families.\nKnowledge of health and safety requirements within residential accommodation settings.What We Offer\n\nMeaningful work making a difference in people's lives.\nSupportive and collaborative working environment.\nOpportunities for training and professional development.\nThe chance to contribute to high-quality housing and support services within the Leicester community.\n\nDue to the high volume of applications we receive, if you do not hear from us within 7 working days, your application has been unsuccessful.\n \n If this role is not for you but you do know somebody who would be interested, please feel free to refer them to us!
