We Build Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Installation Electrician for our client who is a forward-thinking engineering specialist delivering end-to-end mechanical and electrical solutions across the UK’s most demanding industries. You will be required carry out high-quality electrical installations, testing, and commissioning across a range of commercial projects. The role supports the delivery of end-to-end mechanical and electrical engineering solutions, from initial installation through to final handover, ensuring compliance with safety standards and client requirements. Key Responsibilities • Perform installation of electrical systems including power, lighting, containment, and control systems, • Install data cabling, telecoms infrastructure, and network systems (e.g. Cat6, fibre), • Carry out testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical installations, • Work on low and high voltage systems where required, • Install specialist systems such as fire alarms, CCTV, security, and building management systems, • Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations (e.g. BS 7671 / 18th Edition), • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications, • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, design, project management) to deliver integrated solutions, • Maintain high standards of health & safety and follow company and client procedures, • Identify and report defects, issues, or improvements during installation works, • Support project delivery timelines, including working overtime or away from home when required Key Skills & Competencies • Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices in commercial/industrial environments, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills, • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, • Effective communication and teamwork skills, • Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines, • Flexible approach to working hours and travel Qualifications & Experience Essential: • Full UK manual Driving License for a minimum of 12 months, • NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification, • 18th Edition qualification, • City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395 inspection and testing (Desirable), • A good level of IT literacy., • An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace., • To be flexible and willing to partake in overtime/unsociable hours., • ECS/CSCS card., • IPAF and PASMA are not essential but desirable., • An Enhanced DBS will be carried out
