About your new role! This part-time RVN role involving 8.5 hour shifts on Tuesdays and Thursdays would be ideal for an SVN due to qualify as there is ample support for a newly qualified RVN. Alternatively, if you have a few years under your belt and want to reduce your hours this could also tick all your boxes! You will be working alongside a settled team including full-time vet, full-time RVN, VCA, and 2 part-time receptionists providing invaluable front of house support to our long-term client base, enabling you to focus on your patients. Your rota will include a 1:4 branch Saturday rotation, and 1:10 Saturday rotation in Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon. You will be rota ‘d to 1 bank holiday per year. There are NO on-call requirements. As a branch RVN some of your duties will include: • Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care., • Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required., • Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records., • Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care., • Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients., • Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment, • Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use., • Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary., • Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training., • Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone., • Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor Epsom itself is a beautiful and prestigious market town in Surrey, that is well-connected with easy access to the M25 and has direct train lines taking you straight into central London.
